Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on February 6, 2025 |
According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in January 2025, world coffee prices showed signs of recovery after a period of slight downward adjustment in the first days of the year. This recovery was driven by limited supply from the two main producing countries, Brazil and Vietnam, especially when Vietnam entered the long Lunar New Year holiday.
In this context, Arabica coffee prices are receiving significant support, as many coffee farmers in Brazil are delaying sales in the hope that prices will continue to rise higher in the coming time.
Another positive factor for coffee prices is the move by Conab, the Brazilian government’s agricultural forecasting agency, to lower its estimate of Brazil’s 2024 coffee production to 54.2 million bags, down 1.1% from its September 2024 forecast of 54.8 million bags. This has put additional pressure on supply, causing coffee prices to trend higher.
In addition, the re-evaluation of the Brazilian and Vietnamese currencies against the USD has also contributed to supporting coffee prices, creating favorable conditions for producers in the current market context. According to experts, if the supply situation continues to be limited and demand increases, coffee prices may continue to increase in the near future.
