World coffee prices
Early morning of December 19 (Vietnam time), on the London floor, the price of Robusta coffee for January 2025 delivery was at 5,151 USD/ton, down 65 USD/ton compared to early morning yesterday. The price for March 2025 delivery decreased by 29 USD/ton, trading at 5,139 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor for delivery in March 2025 was trading at 332 cents/lb, up 8 cents/lb compared to yesterday's trading level. At the delivery in May 2025, it was trading at 327 cents/lb, up 6 cents/lb compared to 1 day ago.

Domestic coffee prices
Domestic coffee prices today recorded a simultaneous decrease in all localities, trading at 122,700 - 124,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is trading at 124,000 VND/kg, down 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session.
In Lam Dong, today's coffee price is purchased at 122,700 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg.
Today's coffee price in Gia Lai is trading at 123,800 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg.
In Dak Nong, coffee prices today recorded a decrease of 800 VND/kg, trading at 124,200 VND/kg.
In the past, Vietnamese coffee was mainly consumed in traditional markets such as Europe, America and Japan. However, in recent years, markets such as China and Southeast Asian countries have emerged, opening up new opportunities for the Vietnamese coffee industry.
There is still a lot of room for growth in the Chinese market. Currently, per capita coffee consumption in China is still much lower than in neighboring countries such as Japan and South Korea.
According to experts, one of the reasons driving growth in China is the change in consumer habits. Tea drinking is still popular, however, the younger generation born after 1990 is gradually switching to drinking coffee, creating great potential for this market.
