She and her husband, artist Minh Duc, returned to their homeland to visit relatives after many years living in France. This year, he is 87 years old, she is 75 years old, but still retains her soulful singing voice. They are famous artists, having had many good roles on the stage of Tran Huu Trang Theater, the most memorable of which is the role of the American mother in the play "Bim Viet Canh Nam".
Since their son, artist Tuan Hung, returned to Vietnam to live, artist couple Kieu Le Mai and Minh Duc sold their big house and moved to a small house 45 minutes drive from Paris, and occasionally return home to visit their son.

When meeting my grandparents again, the greatest joy was reminiscing about the time when they were still in the domestic theater troupes. She was an actress at the Tran Huu Trang Opera House, known as the ageless female artist.
She clearly remembers the play "Chim Viet Canh Nam", where she played the role of the American mother of student Nguyen Thai Binh. "Because I have Vietnamese and French blood, when staging this play, director Meritorious Artist Doan Ba accepted my request to volunteer for the role of the American mother, while the Vietnamese mother was played by People's Artist Ngoc Giau. Although I have been away from my homeland for many years, I still cannot forget this memorable role" - artist Kieu Le Mai confided.

Artist Kieu Le Mai 10 years ago established a rendezvous for overseas Vietnamese audiences who love the stage living in Paris and the surrounding areas. She and the late artist Ha My Lien (younger sister of People's Artist Thanh Dien) regularly organized monthly cai luong performances at Minh Hoa restaurant on Roger Salengro street, bordering the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Artist Kieu Le Mai said that in Paris, it is very difficult to find a stage for artists to gather. Since the death of artist Ha My Lien, this stage has not been held.
Now I have switched to singing at pagodas during holidays. Recently, I participated in a performance of the scene "Buddha's previous life" with young actors, serving overseas Vietnamese and visitors to the pagoda for free.
"On this trip back to the country, I remember artist Dang Vinh Quang - he is a famous artist with the role of patriotic overseas student Nguyen Thai Binh. This is considered the main role of his life, and also the play that I wish to perform again on stage. In addition, my husband and I hope to have good health so that we can visit our homeland every year" - artist Kieu Le Mai said emotionally.
