Sharing about the impressive achievement, Sixkie expressed his surprise: "I was quite surprised with this achievement because I didn't think the product would be quickly accepted by everyone like that. To be honest, when I made this MV, I didn't expect it to be on the trending list because I simply thought this was a product for my fans."
MV "I've been waiting for a long time" caused a storm, quickly reaching the top trending music on Youtube Vietnam.
Sixkie revealed that "I've Been Waiting for a Long Time " was inspired by personal experiences: "I think whether you're a boy or a girl, everyone has at least once liked someone but didn't dare to confess. I wonder if anyone has ever stood downstairs waiting for their crush, waiting but not daring to text or call because they were shy, that feeling was both exciting and embarrassing. That was the inspiration for me to write this song."
Sixkie said he is a fan of Y2K-tinged nostalgic tunes, so the song was completed quickly, taking just one day to write and another day to edit the lyrics.
The sincerity and catchy melody of "You've Been Waiting for a Long Time" has won the hearts of many audiences. Explaining this idea, Sixkie revealed: "Perhaps the first idea for the MV must have started from my teacher - musician Ha Anh. I remember the day I decided to film the MV, my teacher said it would be good to film the girl standing behind the curtain while the boy was looking up from below. So the teacher and I sat down and discussed and then I decided not to show the female lead's face.
Because I think that in this MV I am simply a pre-programmed character to sing those lyrics, they are like words that speak for the listener, and as for the female lead, let the listener imagine a 'female lead' of their own, someone they once secretly loved."
When asked about the sad tone of his music products, the young singer admitted: " Actually, I listen to a lot of happy music, but maybe it's because my voice sounds sad that it suits the music like that. I also write a lot of happy music but I just haven't released it yet." Sharing about his upcoming music project, Sixkie said that it will still be sad songs, but he will also release more cheerful products.
