On the morning of April 6, the racers entered a short 42.5 km race around Hoan Kiem Lake ( Hanoi ). The cool weather and flat track were ideal conditions for the racers to show their speed.
Immediately after the starting signal, consecutive attacks broke out. At two pull-off points along the way, Nick Kergozou finished first, demonstrating his outstanding sprinting ability.
The climax was pushed up in the final lap when the teams of Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai , Dong Thap, Vinh Long all lined up to compete. Loic Desriac - who was holding both the yellow and green jerseys - suddenly made a strong breakthrough in the last 500m.
However, Nick Kergozou made a lightning-fast sprint, passing his rival just before the finish line to win the stage in a spectacular way.

This victory helped the New Zealand racer take the green jersey - the title for "sprint king".
Despite losing the green jersey, racer Loic Desriac (Domesco Dong Thap Pharmaceutical Club) still holds on to the prestigious yellow jersey. Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Binh (HCMC New Group) finished third, successfully defending the orange jersey - the title for the best Vietnamese racer. The white jersey for young racer is still held by Dang Van Phap (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long Club).
In addition to the professional events, the race organizers also carried out meaningful social activities. At the finish line, the representative of sponsor Ton Dong A presented 100 million VND to the Vietnam Children's Fund and scholarships worth 50 million VND to students in difficult circumstances.
Tomorrow (April 7), the racing team will enter stage 4 from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, 115 km long.
