All FPT Software branches in 30 countries will apply the VertZéro greenhouse gas inventory solution developed by FPT IS, meeting the requirements of sustainable development.
VertZéro greenhouse gas inventory solution applied in the entire roadmap includes: collecting, systematizing, automating greenhouse gas inventory activity data with information corresponding to each field of operation; identifying sources and emission coefficients to ensure global standard coefficients. The solution also calculates the amount of emissions in the enterprise; supports strategic planning, emission reduction targets for each unit and location.
The goal is to help companies proactively inventory greenhouse gases in three scopes, connect and synchronize data from 30 countries, build standard emission factors, and customize for each region. VertZéro is designed to meet global standard frameworks for reporting greenhouse gas emissions and removals such as ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and other standards.

In 2023, FPT Software will reach the revenue milestone of 1 billion USD, making FPT Corporation the first Vietnamese enterprise to enter the group of global billion-dollar information technology enterprises. Revenue comes from key markets including Japan, the US and Asia-Pacific with a growth rate of over 30%; the Japanese market alone increased by 54% thanks to the demand for spending on digital transformation.
The company has made significant strides in enhancing its position in the global market through M&A deals and cooperation with major partners such as Intertec International, Cardinal Peak, OASIS, and Landing AI. Currently, the unit provides technology services to more than 1,000 global customers, including the Top 100 of the Fortune Global 500 list.
To go deeper into the global technology supply chain, the problem for FPT Software is to quickly participate in and build a green supply chain. Currently, with regulations and standards for sustainable development worldwide such as GRI, SASB, CBAM, IPCC... international enterprises (especially in Europe and Japan) are very interested in transparent emission reporting. Therefore, establishing a system that allows monitoring data related to the sustainability of the supply chain and planning a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will create a competitive advantage, increase trust and choice with major global partners.
Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS, said that through this cooperation, the unit expects to contribute to FPT Software's Net Zero strategy, including two aspects: developing Netzero software solutions and supporting its customers to reduce emissions.

Mr. Nguyen Khai Hoan - Deputy General Director of FPT Software analyzed that in 2023, FPT Software was ranked Silver in the survey organized by EcoVadis. This is one of the most reliable sustainable business rankings in the world, used by many advanced countries. This puts the unit in the top 12% of companies in the same industry evaluated by EcoVadis.
According to Mr. Hoan, the implementation of greenhouse gas inventory will continue to create an important foundation for the unit to affirm its commitment to sustainable development. "Thereby, the company will become a leading provider of information technology services to international partners, thereby enhancing its position in the group of billion-dollar information technology service enterprises in the world. This affirms the role of the Vietnamese unit in the mission of accompanying the promotion of green transformation, realizing the country's NDC 2030 goals," Mr. Hoan emphasized.
Adding, Mr. Tran Duc Tri Quang - Director of FPT IS Data said that greenhouse gas inventory is of interest to businesses of many sizes and types of business. At FPT Software, the specific model of a technology company means that all operations are managed by an information system, which plays an important role in optimizing time and accurately collecting data sources for emission inventory. However, the biggest challenge for the project is to establish an emission coefficient database according to the standards of more than 30 countries, ensuring the most accurate emission reporting for each region.
"This is also an important project for us to continue accompanying Vietnamese businesses in the strategy of meeting green standards, aiming to become a sustainable organization," said Mr. Quang.
FPT IS is currently focusing on developing two strategic solutions: greenhouse gas inventory (VertZéro) and ESG reporting. The solution aims to comprehensively digitize the process of collecting environmental data, calculating, managing, creating emission reports and monitoring the progress of commitment implementation, ensuring international standards.
