FPT opens third office in Korea

FPT's new office is located in Daegu, the third most populous city in Korea, to increase its presence in the land of kimchi and expand access to major customers.

Daegu office is expected to attract abundant human resources for FPT Software in this market.

The new office of FPT Software (a member company of FPT Corporation) is located on the 5th floor of Daegu Bank Building in Buk-gu District, the busiest area of ​​Daegu City. This is the third most populous city in Korea and has more than 6,000 large and small manufacturing enterprises, of which 43% are enterprises related to the fields of operating engineers, machinery manufacturing and automatic component manufacturing. This is the 82nd office of FPT Software Company worldwide.

According to the plan, the office will expand its search and cooperation with financial companies, banks and customers in the fields of automobiles, manufacturing, and robots in Daegu, aiming to build a software development center and expand its operations to neighboring areas such as Daejon, Kumi, etc. Accordingly, in the field of developing information technology infrastructure for the Finance and Insurance sector, FPT Software will build an ODC (Offshore Development Center - product and solution development center) to strengthen cooperation with Daegu Bank.

With the advantage of a large concentration of Vietnamese students and a not-too-expensive cost of living, the Daegu office is expected to attract abundant human resources for FPT Software in this market. In the next 5 years, this office expects to reach the 1,000-person mark, becoming a technology “hot spot” in the Southeast region of Korea.

Daegu focuses on developing a number of key industries in the future such as the above-ground transportation system (UAM-linked mobility); construction, robot manufacturing; healthcare; semiconductor components... With these favorable conditions, Daegu was chosen by FPT to realize the plan to expand its customer base and develop human resources in Korea.

Established in Korea in 2016, FPT Software currently has nearly 200 employees working directly in Korea, more than 1,700 remote support engineers in Vietnam, providing world-class technology solutions and services to leading customers in the land of kimchi, including top large companies in Korea such as LG Electronics, LG CNS, Shinhan Bank, Daegu Bank, and Shinsegae I&C.
