(BĐ) - On April 11, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy met with voters of Canh Vinh commune (Van Canh district) and voters of Tran Phu ward (Quy Nhon city), providing information about the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.
At the meeting, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy informed voters about the expected program and content of the 9th session. Accordingly, the session is expected to open on May 5 and close on the morning of June 28, 2025. The National Assembly will consider and decide on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; consider and approve 30 draft laws and 7 resolutions; give opinions on 6 other draft laws; and at the same time, decide on many important issues on socio-economic issues, the state budget and supreme supervision.

Promoting the spirit of democracy, voters sent their thoughts and aspirations to the National Assembly deputies, making recommendations on many issues related to merging and streamlining the administrative apparatus; policies for people with meritorious services; infrastructure, urban aesthetics; education and healthcare.
Voters suggested keeping the name “Binh Dinh” after the merger to preserve historical and cultural values; giving priority to using place names when naming areas, wards and communes instead of famous people. Regarding infrastructure, voters reported that Mai Xuan Thuong Street has degraded and needs to be upgraded soon to ensure urban safety and beauty; Le Loi Street extension does not have house numbers, causing difficulties in daily life and management; many suspended projects cause waste.
Regarding the policy for people with meritorious services, voters reflected that the payment of allowances after the adjustment of the allowance level from July 1, 2024 has been slow and prolonged, even though it has been transferred to the Department of Home Affairs, affecting the lives of many people. At the same time, voters also proposed expanding the scope of war invalids and sick soldiers entitled to annual nursing care, from the disability level of 81% to 70%, because the number of people in this category is decreasing.
In the fields of education and health, voters believe that textbook reform is still half-hearted and ineffective, while each set of books is only used once, causing great waste. In addition, the cost of purchasing family health insurance is still high, making it difficult for many families to fully participate each year; the list of drugs and techniques covered by health insurance is limited.
Voters also recommended that the province pay attention to building a temple or memorial site for the Hung Kings, because Binh Dinh currently has no official location, while the whole country has more than 1,400 relic sites, to pay tribute to ancestors and create cultural highlights to attract tourists.

Accepting all the voters' recommendations, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy said that recently, the merger and transfer of tasks at a number of departments and branches has affected the payment of benefits to people with meritorious services. This is a common situation nationwide. Currently, Binh Dinh province is temporarily advancing funds for payment, striving to stabilize all activities by June 2025.
Regarding the list of medical examinations and treatments covered by health insurance, the State is balancing resources to gradually expand the level of benefits. Recently, there has been a policy allowing for the connection of medical examinations and treatments and opening up many other benefits for patients. The provincial National Assembly delegation will continue to propose to add some specific groups of drugs when the policy is revised.
In addition to the work of preventing and combating corruption, the issue of combating waste is also of special concern to the Central Government. Therefore, for suspended projects, in the process of restructuring the administrative apparatus, localities will consider and calculate to come up with appropriate solutions.
Regarding the administrative apparatus merger, the entire system is making efforts to implement and complete many tasks. After June 30, the province will hold a meeting to review and calculate related activities, as a basis for stability and effective operation after the merger.
Regarding issues and incidents related to the locality, representatives of the leaders of Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district, Tran Phu ward, Quy Nhon city directly answered and explained to voters.
