On June 28, Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) issued Resolution No. 216/2023 to elect Ms. Do Ha Phuong - member of the Board of Directors to hold the position of Chairwoman of Eximbank's Board of Directors for the 7th term (2020 - 2025) to replace Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu.
New Chairwoman of Eximbank Board of Directors Ms. Do Ha Phuong
Ms. Do Ha Phuong, born in 1984, has more than 15 years of experience in the banking and finance sector. She joined Eximbank as a member of the Board of Directors since February 2022. Ms. Do Ha Phuong completed a Master's degree in Finance at the University of Westminster (UK) and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting at George Mason University (USA). She has held many senior management and executive positions at many domestic and foreign credit institutions.
Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu was elected as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors in February 2022, this is the second time Ms. Tu has held this position. Previously, in March 2019, she was elected as Chairwoman but for a short time due to her predecessor, Mr. Le Minh Quoc, filing a lawsuit. From 2019 to present, the chairwoman of Eximbank has continuously changed, from Mr. Le Minh Quoc to Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu, Mr. Cao Xuan Ninh, Mr. Yasuhiro Saitoh, then Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu and currently Ms. Do Ha Phuong. At the recent general meeting of shareholders, shareholders unanimously approved the target of total assets in 2023 reaching VND 210,000 billion, an increase of 13.5%; pre-tax profit reaching VND 5,000 billion, an increase of 35%, compared to 2022.
