Ninh Thuan tourism reaches its destination early

In the first 9 months of 2024, the total number of visitors and vacationers in the province was more than 3.2 million, an increase of 20% over the same period, reaching 100.1% of the plan; of which, the number of guests staying and vacationing is estimated at 2.3 million, the number of visitors is estimated at 904,000; international visitors are estimated at 87,000, an increase of 193.9% over the same period, reaching 87% of the 2024 plan. Social income from tourism activities is estimated at 3,662 billion VND, the tourism industry reached the 2024 plan 3 months ahead of schedule.

Implementing the policy of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, since the beginning of 2024, Ninh Thuan tourism industry has coordinated to organize many cultural, sports and tourism activities, attracting the attention of tourists. The province has implemented many tourism promotion and promotion activities and organized large-scale events to attract many tourists, such as: Ninh Thuan Food Festival - Welcoming the New Year 2024; opening a walking street in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City; Ninh Thuan Food Festival... attracting the attention of domestic and foreign visitors, while stimulating domestic tourism, contributing to promoting the development of the tourism industry; creating opportunities for provincial businesses to introduce tourism products and promotional activities to people and tourists.

State management of tourism service business has been strengthened. The tourism industry has made many efforts to restore operations, along with that, the tourism product system has been continuously renewed, creating more diverse products, increasing attractiveness and competitiveness. Many new destinations have been invested, the technical facilities and infrastructure system serving tourism has been improved; tourism enterprises in the province have invested and upgraded tourist attractions. With many interesting experiences for visitors, creating a spread, promoting the image of Ninh Thuan tourism, attracting tourists. At the same time, enterprises have deployed many new and attractive tourism product packages, along with suitable tourism stimulus discount programs, attracting a large number of tourists from the southern and Central Highlands provinces to the province for sightseeing and relaxation, especially on holidays and Tet. The provincial tourism sector has also actively implemented the application of information technology and digital transformation in tourism development activities according to the general plan of the whole province such as: Building a digital tourism information system, free wifi and kiosk systems in some key tourism areas and spots, a virtual tourism guide system to support tourists; transportation capacity to key tourism areas of the province has been enhanced, technical facilities, especially tourism accommodation facilities, have been invested in quite a lot, meeting the needs of relaxation and accommodation for domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, tourism promotion and advertising work has been focused and promoted. In addition to promoting on-site investment, the province is focusing on attracting the international tourism market, especially markets from Korea, China, India... The province has organized many promotional events, connecting with tourism associations of Korea, China, India... As a result, tours have begun to form to bring international visitors to Ninh Thuan.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Tourism Association, shared: The successful organization of many attractive events and diverse tourism products associated with exploiting the potential and strengths to create a distinct mark of the localities has contributed to creating a strong breakthrough for the tourism industry. Along with that, the investment in building tourism infrastructure has been focused, especially the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway put into use, becoming a driving force to promote the tourism demand of people in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern and Central Highlands provinces, creating a boost for the development of Ninh Thuan tourism.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, the fourth quarter of 2024 is the peak season for international visitors, Ninh Thuan expects to welcome a large number of tourists to come for vacation (winter break). Currently, tourism businesses are focusing on promoting the image and brand of Ninh Thuan tourism to the outside with the strengths of beach resorts, sea sports and entertainment, sand dunes, etc. Combined with the activities of the Kate Festival, the 6th Cham Cultural Festival in Ninh Thuan province in 2024 and a number of other activities, Ninh Thuan tourism expects to welcome a "wave" of domestic and international tourists to visit and relax in the province.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: To create favorable momentum for 2025, in the remaining months of 2024, in addition to the common tasks, the industry will continue to advise and coordinate with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to organize a Workshop on Promoting the value of Cham cultural heritage associated with tourism development; submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee a preliminary report on 4 years of implementing Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated August 31, 2021 on developing tourism in Ninh Thuan province to become a key economic sector in the period of 2021-2025 and vision to 2030; coordinate with the Provincial Culinary Association to organize the Ninh Thuan Culinary Festival - Welcoming the New Year 2025. Coordinate with localities and units of the province to continue to promote and advertise destinations, focusing on building unique tourism products, and improving service quality. In addition, forming a new and diverse chain of tourism products; on the basis of effectively exploiting the potentials and advantages of nature, culture, history imbued with national identity, connecting tourism spaces, creating unique experiences, suitable for the tastes of domestic and international tourists. Continue to promote communication on channels such as: Press, electronic information portals, social networks; cultural, sports and tourism events inside and outside the province... to introduce and promote the image of the homeland, people and scenic spots of Ninh Thuan tourism to domestic and international tourists. At the same time, proactively remove difficulties and obstacles in investment and tourism business activities, creating conditions for tourism enterprises to develop.
