During the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 (from April 27 to May 1, 2024), the tourism industry is estimated to serve about 8 million visitors, an increase of 14.2% over the same period in 2023.

According to the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism), during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, most key tourist areas across the country recorded positive signals with a high increase in the number of visitors compared to the same period in 2023.
For example, Thanh Hoa served about 1.52 million visitors, an increase of 27.2%; total revenue from tourists reached about 3,805 billion VND, an increase of 32.8%.
Quang Ninh served about 1,017,800 visitors, up 48.0%; total revenue from tourists reached about VND 2,210 billion, up 53%.
Khanh Hoa served about 969,950 visitors, up 21.5%; total revenue from tourists reached about 1,306.7 billion VND, up 53%.
Ho Chi Minh City served about 969,000 visitors, up 2%; total revenue from tourists reached about 3,235 billion VND, up 3.4%.
Nghe An served about 950,000 visitors, an increase of 22%; total revenue from tourists reached about more than 1,700 billion VND.
Hanoi served about 737,900 visitors, up 4%; total revenue from tourists reached about 2,500 billion VND, up nearly 10%...
Thanks to the timely attention and direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourist services during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year were prepared early; localities and businesses proactively ensured security and safety of tourism activities, food hygiene and safety, and prevented unfortunate accidents and incidents.

This year's holiday lasted 5 days, so most destinations welcomed more visitors, longer stays, and higher revenue compared to the same period in 2023. The average room occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments nationwide reached about 60%, reaching over 70% on peak days, and some coastal destinations achieved an occupancy rate of 95% -100% during the holiday.
The number of international visitors is still growing well despite the peak season. Room rates and tourism services have not fluctuated much. Security, order, environmental sanitation, and food safety at destinations are guaranteed.
