Encourage and support 5 families whose houses burned down in An Giang

In order to share some of the difficulties of households whose houses were burned down, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Nguyen Tiec Hung gave initial support of 5 million VND/household.

In addition, to create conditions to help affected households stabilize their lives soon, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Phu district also submitted a proposal to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Mobilization Committee of the Fund "For the Poor" of An Giang province to consider providing financial support for households affected by the fire to rebuild their houses and stabilize their lives soon.

Previously, at around 7:30 a.m. on April 1, residents of Binh Hung 2 Hamlet, Binh My Commune, Chau Phu District discovered a fire breaking out from Mr. CHK's house and spreading to neighboring houses, so they reported it to the police.

After receiving the report, the police force quickly arrived at the scene to organize fire fighting measures. At about 8:45 a.m. the same day, the fire was controlled and extinguished.

The fire completely burned down 4 houses and 1 house burned down about 50%. The total damage was initially estimated at about 300 million VND. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
