Welcoming more than 100,000 visitors during Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024

During the 7 days of Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 from June 6 to 12, Thua Thien Hue province welcomed more than 100,000 visitors. Tourism revenue during this time reached 159 billion VND. The average occupancy rate at hotels reached 70%. Hue International Arts Festival Week coincided with the time when Da Nang city organized the international fireworks festival, so it somewhat shared and impacted the number of visitors to experience Hue Festival.

Street festival attracts large crowds of locals and tourists

In fact, the number of tourists coming to Hue to participate in Hue Festival activities is very large, especially independent tourists. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism said that through the survey, the reception, service and security and safety at tourist attractions and accommodation facilities have basically satisfied tourists.

“During the Hue Festival Week from June 7-12, the number of visitors from neighboring provinces coming to Hue during this time is very large, especially groups of guests traveling as families. There are some days when the room occupancy rate in the city center is up to 80-90%, with some hotels fully booked such as Morin, Duy Tan, Huong Giang and Century hotels. During this time, the tourism industry also coordinates with tour operators to organize sightseeing programs combined with experiencing festival activities. The number of visitors is also even and spread out during the first and last stages of the festival,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc.
