Welcoming nearly 185,000 visitors and experiencers

BTO- In the first 9 months of 2024, Binh Thuan Provincial Museum organized many exhibitions and displays on the occasion of major holidays and anniversaries of the country and the province, attracting nearly 185,000 visitors to visit, study, and research, exceeding the plan by 8% and increasing by 17.5% over the same period last year; including 7,985 international visitors.

Highlights include Cham folk art performances for tourists and locals during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024; exhibitions and thematic exhibitions: "Land and people of Binh Thuan" at the Po Sah Inư tower relic. Exhibitions of prize-winning paintings about local cultural heritage at schools. Conducting classes to teach intangible cultural forms of ethnic minorities and implementing "Building an open warehouse model of the Cham Royal Cultural Heritage Collection in Bac Binh district connecting with local Cham cultural heritage tourism itineraries" under Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" in 2024. At the same time, the unit organizes the collection of documents, images, artifacts of natural resources, archaeology, ethnic cultures, resistance wars against France, America and the renovation period. Up to now, the collection work has achieved 100% of the assigned target.

In addition, the Provincial Museum is checking the management of relics, artifacts, antiquities, and organizing festivals at ranked relics in the province. Along with that, it is preparing contents for organizing display and exhibition activities and the ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize the national treasure for the golden Linga discovered at Po Dam tower (Phu Lac, Tuy Phong) taking place during Kate Festival in early October.
