Argentine businesses consider Vietnam an economic development model worth learning from

Thanking Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh for taking the time to meet him, Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski said that 2023 is a special year in Vietnam - Argentina relations, when the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and 13 years of Comprehensive Partnership (2010 - 2023).

In 2023, many high-ranking Vietnamese delegations paid official visits to the Republic of Argentina to strengthen the traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Argentina, and elevate the comprehensive partnership between the two countries to become increasingly substantive and effective.

On that basis, the people of the two countries can expect the good bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Argentina to develop further. Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski pointed out that Vietnam is the third largest trade partner in Asia, showing the importance of Vietnam in relations with Argentina and that the two sides still have much potential for development.

According to Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski, Argentine businesses always follow Vietnam's development closely, considering it an economic development model worth learning from. Trade relations between the two countries are complementary.

Regarding the relationship between localities, Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski affirmed that the Argentine Embassy is always ready to welcome and cooperate in the activities of the Hanoi government. This December, the Embassy will participate in a culinary festival in Hanoi and Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski revealed that he will bring special Argentine cuisine to this event.

To further strengthen the friendship and connection between the two countries, on the occasion of Argentina's National Tango Day, Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski proposed organizing an event on this cultural activity in Hanoi so that the young generations of the two countries can participate and better understand the culture of the South American country.

Due to the great geographical distance, Vietnam and Argentina are drafting a direct flight route and the Ambassador hopes to soon implement this project in the future. This is a driving force to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Agreeing with the sharing and suggestions of Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that Vietnam and Argentina, although geographically distant, have friendly relations between the people of the two countries, always giving each other solidarity and valuable support.

Vietnam has become an important partner of Argentina in Southeast Asia thanks to the complementary nature of the two economies, good political relations, people-to-people and cultural exchanges. In particular, after the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Partnership in 2010, the relationship between the two countries has had very positive new developments in all areas.

The head of the City People's Committee affirmed that the positive development of the Vietnam - Argentina relationship in recent times has created a foundation to promote cooperation between the two capitals in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, cultural exchange, art, and transportation.

"With great potential for cooperation, the capital city of Hanoi wishes to promote cooperation with the capital city of Buenos Aires and localities of Argentina on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two cities in 2008, focusing on the fields of urban management, public transport, human resource training, innovation, biotechnology, digital transformation, investment cooperation, trade, tourism and cultural exchange, with the promotion of activities: increasing contact and exchange of delegations at all levels," the Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed.

Through the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam, the two sides promote connections between the business community, promote potential cooperation opportunities and support businesses investing in Hanoi and Buenos Aires, as well as other localities of Argentina.

On the basis of the good cooperation between the two countries, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee believes that during his term, the Ambassador will promote the role of a bridge, promote exchanges and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries as well as the friendship and cooperation between Hanoi and localities of Argentina to become increasingly deeper, more practical and effective.
