Hai Duong Newspaper delegation exchanged professional knowledge with Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper

The leaders of the two press agencies believe that with the rapid and steady development of the whole country, each journalist must continue to innovate and make more efforts.

On the afternoon of March 30, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and the 50th anniversary of the first publication of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper (May 5, 1975 - May 5, 2025), the working delegation of Hai Duong Newspaper had a professional exchange session with the other newspaper.

The staff of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper informed and introduced to the delegation of Hai Duong Newspaper about the history of formation and development of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper; exchanged professional experience, advantages, difficulties and solutions for the development of local Party newspapers in the digital transformation era.

On April 30, 1975, Saigon was completely liberated. Just 5 days later, on May 5, 1975, a large-format daily newspaper called Saigon Giai Phong was printed and distributed in large quantities, meeting the information needs and demands of the Party, government and people of the newly liberated city.

Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper is a press agency with the number of printed newspapers in the top 5 nationwide, with publications: Saigon Giai Phong daily newspaper in Vietnamese, Saigon Giai Phong daily newspaper in Chinese and Saigon Giai Phong Investment - Finance weekly.

Over the years, Saigon Giai Phong Electronic Newspaper has consistently ranked first in terms of readership among the local Party newspaper system nationwide. The newspaper’s social networking sites have also grown strongly.

On January 2, 1997, the first Hai Duong newspaper after the province's re-establishment was published. Since the province's re-establishment, this has been the period of the Hai Duong newspaper's most vigorous innovation.

From only publishing 3 issues/week with 2 publications, Hai Duong News and Hai Duong Monthly, in September 2000, the newspaper had a new publication, Hai Duong Weekend, thereby increasing the number of issues/week. In 2006, the newspaper increased the publication frequency to 5 issues/week, in 2009 to 6 issues/week, in 2011 to 7 issues/week, becoming the fourth local Party newspaper in the North to publish daily. In 2009, Hai Duong e-newspaper was born, promptly meeting the information needs in the new situation. Hai Duong e-newspaper has many innovations and strong development. In recent years, Hai Duong e-newspaper has been regularly in the top 5 local Party newspapers nationwide with the highest number of visitors, in some months ranking 3rd. Social networking platforms have all grown well.

Up to now, Hai Duong Newspaper is building and gradually forming a multimedia press agency including publications: Hai Duong News Newspaper, Hai Duong Weekend Newspaper, Hai Duong Electronic Newspaper. Hai Duong Newspaper also has pages on social networks Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, YouTube. Each publication has its own characteristics, contributing to the diversity of the newspaper.

In 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper achieved an excellent level of maturity in digital transformation of the press, ranking 5th in the group of 8 excellent press agencies in the local press sector.
