Suspending the case of Ho Hoai Anh and Hong Dang in Spain

On the evening of October 22, Ms. Tran Tra My - the legal supporter for Hong Dang and Ho Hoai Anh in the case at the Palma de Mallorca Court, Spain - updated information on the situation of the two artists being investigated there.

In the post, Ms. Tra My said that the Palma de Mallorca Court decided to keep the file and conditionally suspend the case because it could not find evidence to prove the crime.

Ms. Tra My also said that the Spanish Court issued a decision not to continue the investigation, trial and decided to keep the case file due to not finding evidence to prove the crime in July.

However, Ms. Tra My has not yet provided the court's ruling document. Currently, the Spanish media has not updated information about the case of Ho Hoai Anh and Hong Dang.

In July 2022, the Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora reported that two Vietnamese artists had their passports confiscated due to their alleged involvement in sexually assaulting a 17-year-old British girl at a hotel in Andratx, Mallorca (Spain).

After Ho Hoai Anh and Hong Dang returned to Vietnam, the above information had a heavy impact on the two artists. Hong Dang proactively quit his job at the Hanoi Drama Theater and stopped acting on VTV.

Meanwhile, Ho Hoai Anh quit his job at the National Academy of Music and has almost disappeared from major television programs.
