Literature exam for national excellent students in 2024

This morning (December 25), candidates taking the 2024-2025 national high school exam will take the Literature test, with a duration of 180 minutes.

In the Literature exam, candidates must complete two questions: Social Essay (8 points) and Literary Essay (12 points).

This year's Social Essay question requires candidates to present on the topic: Listening to silence.

This year's national high school exam was held from December 24-26. With 6,482 candidates registered, the total number of exam councils was 68.

Selected candidates will participate in 13 subjects including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, and Japanese.

This is the first time the national excellent student competition has been organized according to the new general education program. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the percentage of students winning prizes will account for 60% of the total number of contestants. Of which, the number of first, second, and third prizes will not exceed 60% of the total number of prizes; the number of first prizes will not exceed 5%.

Students who win prizes will be given priority for direct admission to universities and colleges. Candidates who are selected for the International Olympic team (Informatics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Physics) will be exempted from the high school graduation exam.

According to the plan, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the exam results at the end of January 2025.
