Deputy Prime Minister directs to remove many key projects in Van Don

According to Notice No. 170/TB-VPCP recently issued by the Government Office on the conclusion of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the Deputy Prime Minister gave his opinion on each key project of the province.

Specifically, with the project of the Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Center in Van Don as proposed by the Swire Group, UK, the Provincial People's Committee needs to urgently coordinate with ministries and branches to create favorable conditions to attract foreign investors to participate in aircraft maintenance and repair activities at Van Don International Airport.

Regarding the investment policy of the high-end complex tourism service project in Van Don Economic Zone, the Ministry of Finance will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently complete the appraisal of project documents in accordance with previous instructions and submit it to the Prime Minister before April 15.

Regarding the Ha Long Xanh Urban Complex project, the Provincial People's Committee will proactively review and adjust related planning according to its authority and regulations. In case of problems and beyond its authority, it is necessary to assign the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction according to their assigned functions and tasks to study, review and propose solutions.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministries of Education and Training, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, and Health, according to their functions and duties, to promptly respond in writing to resolve the difficulties and proposals of the province with the highest responsibility, not to respond in general, unclear ways or only cite current legal regulations; to be completed before April 15.

The Government also assigned Quang Ninh an economic growth target of 12% in 2025, and the province has developed a higher growth scenario of 14%.

To strongly promote growth drivers, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Quang Ninh to continue streamlining and reorganizing the apparatus, building a streamlined apparatus that operates effectively and efficiently, and a team of capable, dedicated, and qualified staff to undertake work tasks.

In addition, it is necessary to promote public investment disbursement, pay attention to land allocation, balance and allocate resources to continue promoting and implementing social housing and housing projects for workers, ensuring the goals assigned by the Prime Minister.
