In the mountainous district of Dakrong, the work of PCMT in schools has been given special attention with many creative ways, suitable to the characteristics of the locality. Accordingly, schools have organized extensive dissemination to cadres, teachers, staff, students and parents about the plans and directives of all levels on PCMT work. In particular, schools have focused on close coordination between families, schools and society in the work of preventing and combating crimes and drug abuse.

The dissemination of the 2021 Law on Drug Prevention and Control and documents guiding the implementation of the law is carried out flexibly, creatively, and in accordance with the conditions of each school. Many schools have used visual and vivid forms of propaganda such as: through the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, the extracurricular activity "Quang Tri Youth Say No to School Drugs", the website and Facebook page of the Youth Union. Many school units have had effective methods such as:

Krong Klang Town Secondary School, Krong Klang Town Primary School, Ta Long Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, Pa Nang Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, Ta Long Primary School, Pa Nang Primary School, Huong Hiep Primary School No. 1, Huc Nghi Primary and Secondary School, Dakrong Boarding Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, Trieu Nguyen Primary and Secondary School, Ba Long Primary and Secondary School, Huong Hiep Secondary School, Ta Rut Primary School. Pa Nang Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School has 333 students, of which 120 are boarding students at the school. Many creative measures have been implemented to promote education and training in this special environment.

Principal of Pa Nang Ethnic Minority Secondary School Le Thanh Tung said: “In response to the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control and the National Day for Drug Prevention and Control on June 26, Pa Nang Ethnic Minority Secondary School has organized many practical and effective activities. The week of Quang Tri Youth Saying No to Drugs has created a strong ripple effect in the boarding student community.

PCMT content is integrated into formal and extracurricular lessons and experiential activities, helping students access knowledge naturally and effectively in their daily living environment.

The school also strengthens coordination with the Commune Police to propagate social evils and school drugs, and at the same time, proactively grasps the situation of students at risk of drug use to have timely handling measures, especially for boarding students.

Schools in Dakrong district also strengthen the teaching of drug prevention education in the main and extracurricular programs, organize cadres, teachers, employees and students to sign the "3 no" commitment (no testing, no keeping and no using) about drugs. Focus on propaganda, raising awareness of the law on PCMT, warning about the consequences and harms of drugs, especially synthetic drugs, drugs disguised in food, drinks, and electronic cigarettes.

In order to promote drug prevention and control in the educational environment, in 2024, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard Command to organize 4 drug communication programs at high schools located in the land border area.

192 books on PCMT have been distributed to educational institutions in the province. The Department of Education and Training also sent managers and teachers to attend training courses on crime prevention and law violations among students, and propaganda skills for key teachers and members of PCMT clubs organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The propaganda work on PCMT is always taken seriously by educational institutions, with innovative content and forms, through many information channels such as: website, internal newsletter, collective activities, extracurricular activities. High schools organize for students to sign a commitment not to violate the law, PCMT and social evils from the beginning of the school year.

100% of educational institutions have done a good job of disseminating and educating the law on PCMT through meetings, conferences and extracurricular activities. High schools have organized many activities in response to the PCMT Action Month 2024, PCMT Week with many creative forms such as painting contests, knowledge contests, and thematic activities.

To continue building a safe and healthy school environment, in 2025, the education sector will strengthen anti-bullying work in schools with many comprehensive solutions, focusing on education and raising anti-bullying awareness.

Schools will strengthen the teaching of drug prevention education in the curriculum. Regularly organize extracurricular activities and practical experiences to create a lively and effective learning environment. The use of online communication channels such as websites and social networks to propagate and educate about PCMT will also be promoted, in order to reach a large number of students and parents.

In order to raise awareness of responsibility, schools will continue to organize for cadres, teachers, employees and students to sign the "3 no" commitment on drugs. Build and promote the role of anti-drug clubs and teams in schools, create an environment for students to participate in activities and demonstrate their role in anti-drug work.

Strengthen coordination between schools, families and society in monitoring students living in the area to work together in preventing and combating drug crimes, not allowing crimes, especially drug crimes, to enter schools.
