Strengthening the prevention and fight against corruption, waste and negativity associated with completing the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus.

Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Thai Nguyen Province chaired the meeting.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity focused on directing Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units to continue to seriously and fully implement the Party's regulations and the State's laws on anti-corruption, wastefulness and negativity, in conjunction with streamlining the apparatus of the political system. The Steering Committee promptly supplemented functions and tasks according to Regulation No. 199-QD/TW dated November 20, 2024 of the Central Party Secretariat; issued the 2025 Work Program; organized meetings of the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee according to regulations; reviewed and removed 04 cases from the list of cases monitored and directed by the Steering Committee.

The members of the Steering Committee have proactively directed the agencies they are assigned to directly monitor to seriously and promptly carry out the tasks; advised the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to issue 14 documents specifying the Party's policies on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, and the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam at meetings; directed the completion of the review of projects and works that are behind schedule, have been backlogged for a long time, and are inefficient and at risk of causing loss and waste. The Provincial Police Investigation Agency has initiated 1 new case, 7 defendants for corruption and positions; the investigation conclusion has been transferred to the Procuracy to propose the prosecution of 3 cases, 9 defendants. The two-level People's Court of the province has handled 8 cases, 41 defendants, and has tried 2 cases, 4 defendants. Strive to complete the investigation and prosecution of 02 cases under the direction and monitoring of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Waste and Negativity in the second quarter of 2025.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung, Head of the Steering Committee requested: Party committees, Party organizations, and authorities at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; the conclusions of the General Secretary, Head of the Central Steering Committee; the notices, conclusions of inspections, supervisions, audits and recommendations of the State Audit. Continue to effectively perform the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, and the work of inspection, examination and supervision. Improve the effectiveness of coordination in detecting, handling violations, and recovering assets. Strengthen the prevention and combat of corruption, waste, and negativity in conjunction with completing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels; Resolutely prevent corruption, waste, and negativity in personnel work and in the arrangement and use of headquarters and public assets when reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units. In addition, direct relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and examination to promptly find solutions to completely handle projects that are behind schedule, have backlogs, are prolonged, have low efficiency, have the risk of causing loss and waste, and houses and land that have not been arranged and handled (if any) according to regulations; direct inspection and examination of a number of large mineral mines in the area. The Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee also requested the Provincial Public Security Party Committee, the Provincial People's Procuracy Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Court Party Committee to direct law enforcement agencies to prepare conditions to organize a trial of the case of fraud and appropriation of property, and lack of responsibility causing serious consequences that occurred at the Thang Loi Street Residential Area Project, Song Cong City, ensuring compliance with regulations.
