As a unit that has implemented this model quite well, Tan An Ward Youth Union (Buon Ma Thuot City) in addition to establishing a team with core members, the unit also organized a training course on "Digital Education for the People" for more than 100 union members and young people in the locality.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Secretary of Tan An Ward Youth Union shared: “From improving digital capacity and training digital skills for union members and young people, we want to create a large force of propagandists, helping people access and utilize technology in life, improve labor productivity, create new job opportunities and form a community that adapts to digital transformation, participates in building digital government, digital society, digital economy, digital citizens; at the same time, affirming the pioneering, proactive and creative role of young people in the country's digital age".
In order to contribute to beautifying the landscape and bringing historical and traditional values to tourists and people, Tan Loi Ward Youth Union (Buon Ma Thuot City) has pioneered the project "Scan QR code - Understand the street immediately".
The QR code board is made of galvanized steel in blue, with white letters "street name information" in two languages, Vietnamese and English, and is attached right below the existing street name board.
These QR codes integrate a database of street names, biographies of cultural figures whose names the street bears, display geographic location, itinerary, length... extracted from data sources of official websites, ensuring accurate information is provided.
To look up information, people and tourists download and install specialized lookup software such as QR Code Reader, QR Scanner... or use the built-in software on mobile devices. For smartphones, just turn on the camera to scan the code to find information.
Mr. Pham Le Phuong, Secretary of Tan Loi Ward Youth Union, said: “The implementation of QR code installation on street names aims to create favorable conditions for people and tourists who want to learn more about history and culture; at the same time, it creates more highlights for local tourism, gradually applying digital technology to life, contributing to building Buon Ma Thuot into a civilized and modern urban area. After one month of implementation, the Ward Youth Union has installed 18 QR boards on central roads. In the coming time, we hope to have more coordination and sponsorship from agencies and units to be able to "cover" QR boards on all roads in the area."
Thanks to the efforts and determination in leadership, many results of Youth Month 2025 have been recorded. In particular, the most notable is that the youth organizations in the whole province have organized activities to participate in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, social security activities...
