On the afternoon of January 3, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Dak Nong Department of Home Affairs, said that the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to discuss plans to arrange and reorganize vocational education and continuing education centers (VET-GDTX) in the area.

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong proposed two options.

Option 1 proposes to dissolve 7 district-level centers, transfer the vocational education function to Dak Nong Community College and the continuing education function to the Department of Education and Training.

Option 2 retains a number of efficient, autonomous centers and dissolves the rest.

Dak Nong Department of Home Affairs has agreed with option 1 of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, proposing to dissolve 7 vocational education and continuing education centers.

Many delegates at the conference expressed concern that the dissolution of the centers could affect students, staff and employees. They hoped that the province would have reasonable solutions and policies to support and ensure the rights of those affected after the reorganization.

At the end of the conference, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee agreed with the proposal to dissolve the vocational education and continuing education centers under the district People's Committee, transfer the continuing education function to the Department of Education and Training and the vocational education function to Dak Nong Community College.

The dissolution is to comply with the principle that one agency performs many tasks and one task is assigned to only one agency to preside over and take primary responsibility.

Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches and localities to ensure the rights of learners, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers when dissolving vocational education and continuing education centers.

"The Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant agencies to evaluate and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of dissolving the vocational education and continuing education center and report the plan to the province before making a final decision," Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong shared.
