The Minister of Public Security has just decided to dissolve 7 district-level police units (except police stations) under the Da Nang City Police from March 1.

According to Da Nang City Police, the unit has completed the review and evaluation of officers and within 2 days (February 27 and 28), it will complete the announcement of decisions on transfer, rotation, and job assignment for 100% of leaders, commanders, and police officers at district and county levels.

Regarding related functions and tasks, based on the principle of "people follow the work", in the immediate future, all functions and tasks of district and county police will be transferred to the City Police to receive and handle.

After stabilizing the structure and organization and having detailed circulars and instructions from the Ministry of Public Security, there will be a roadmap for evaluating and assigning specific functions and tasks appropriate to the commune-level police.

To ensure no interruption of work and no vacant areas, Da Nang City Police temporarily regulate locations and assign tasks in 4 areas not following administrative boundaries in the city.

Specifically, area 1 (Hai Chau district) manages 9 communes and wards including: Hai Chau, Thuan Phuoc, Thanh Binh, Phuoc Ninh, Thach Thang, Binh Thuan, Hoa Cuong Bac, Hoa Cuong Nam, Hoa Thuan Tay.

Area 2 (Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts) manages 10 communes and wards including: An Hai Nam, An Hai Bac, Man Thai, Tho Quang, Nai Hien Dong, Phuoc My, My An, Khue My, Hoa Hai, Hoa Quy.

Area 3 (Cam Le and Thanh Khe districts) manages 12 communes and wards including: Hoa Phat, Hoa An, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Xuan, Khue Trung, An Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thanh Khe Tay, Xuan Ha, Chinh Gian, Thac Gian.

Area 4 (Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts) manages 16 communes and wards including: Hoa Minh, Hoa Khanh Nam, Hoa Khanh Bac, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Hiep Bac, Hoa Chau, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phu, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Lien, Hoa Bac.

Along with the division of management areas, Da Nang City Police also arranged 7 working offices: Area 1 at Hai Chau District Police Headquarters after dissolution. Area 2, main office at Son Tra District Police after dissolution, 2nd office at Ngu Hanh Son District Police after dissolution.

Area 3, headquarters at Cam Le District Police after dissolution, 2nd headquarters at Thanh Khe District Police after dissolution.

Area 4, headquarters at Lien Chieu District Police after dissolution, second headquarters at Hoa Vang District Police after dissolution.
