On the afternoon of February 28, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on dissolving district, town and city police and the decisions of the Provincial Police Director on personnel work.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Provincial Police announced the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on dissolving 26 police units of districts, towns and cities in Thanh Hoa province from March 1, 2025; announced the Decision of the Director of the Provincial Police on early retirement of 8 department heads, heads and deputy heads of district-level police; transferred and rotated the work of more than 2,300 leaders, commanders and officers and soldiers to work at new units.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Major General Tran Phu Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department, emphasized: The dissolution of district-level police is a necessary change, in line with the context of the country entering a new era, helping the police force operate more effectively, closely following the grassroots, and improving the capacity of state management of security and order in the new situation.

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee and Project No. 25 dated January 11, 2025 of the Central Public Security Party Committee on "Continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the local public security apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new period", Thanh Hoa Provincial Public Security has united, unified and implemented in a scientific and methodical manner.
Basically, the staff in the entire provincial police force have been arranged and assigned jobs suitable to their abilities, strengths, conditions, and family circumstances; ensuring the requirements of work, combat, and building the police force in the direction of being lean, compact, strong, effective, efficient, synchronous, consistent, and maximally saving on staffing.
Major General Tran Phu Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department, presented decisions to 8 comrades to retire before their retirement age.
The Director of the Provincial Police Department requested that leaders, commanders, officers and soldiers who have just been transferred and assigned to new positions quickly stabilize their organization and operations; immediately start performing assigned tasks, ensuring continuous performance of tasks, without interrupting or affecting the work of ensuring security and order in the area.
Major General Tran Phu Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department, presented the Decision to 10 district-level police leaders holding the positions of Chief of Police of communes, wards and towns.
At the same time, strengthen unity and solidarity within the unit, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and excellently complete all assigned tasks. Continue to stay close to the grassroots, do a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities in ensuring security and order, building a mass movement to protect national security, maintain a stable security and order situation, and serve well the task of socio-economic development in the locality.
