According to comrade Bui Xuan Nguyen, Secretary of the Dak Mil Town Party Committee, to concretize the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, striving to become a town by 2025, the Town Party Committee Executive Committee issued Resolution No. 03, dated February 22, 2021 on focusing on leading the construction of a civilized urban area by 2025.

The resolution's objective is to focus on promoting the combined strength of the entire political system, creating positive and effective changes in consolidating and building a civilized lifestyle and urban cultural environment. The focus is on strengthening discipline in managing urban order, environmental sanitation, and traffic safety. Thereby, raising the awareness, positivity, and proactiveness of the people, each household, each residential area in implementing a civilized lifestyle and urban cultural environment; improving the quality of life for the people.

In order for the resolution to gradually take root in life, the Dak Mil Town Party Committee has strengthened leadership and directed the implementation of many synchronous solutions to promote the strength of the entire political system in building a cultural and civilized urban area. In particular, identifying the People as the subject of implementation and beneficiaries, the locality has stepped up propaganda, raising awareness and sense of responsibility of cadres, Party members and People about the need to build a civilized urban area, with many diverse and rich forms. Agencies, organizations, and residential groups have actively encouraged union members, association members, and people to keep clean village roads, alleys, and not to litter the environment.

Urban order management is increasingly focused on. The town People's Committee regularly directs the police and civil defense forces to coordinate with the urban management team to strengthen the inspection of urban order in the area.

Along with that, the town regularly checks and reminds households doing business on central routes not to encroach on sidewalks and roadsides; not to hang billboards and signs that affect traffic safety... In 2022 alone, the authorities organized campaigns to clear households that encroached on traffic safety corridors for trading purposes, handled hot spots at the beginning of Tran Phu Street; and attached more than 650 house number plates on roads belonging to residential groups.

Up to now, over 95% of the households in the town have hung the national flag on holidays, ensuring environmental hygiene, not encroaching on roads and sidewalks, causing traffic obstruction. Enterprises and individual business households strictly follow the regulations of not expanding, building roofs, or placing illegal advertising signs, causing loss of urban beauty.

In addition, the Town Party Committee has promoted the role of community self-management in building urban civilization; at the same time, creating conditions for mass organizations and people to directly manage the urban area in the form of building self-management models: "Self-managed veteran road", "Synchronized hanging of the national flag", "Flower road - no trash of the Women's Union"...

Thanks to correctly identifying the important role of people in urban construction and management, especially civilized urban lifestyle and mobilizing the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the resolution has gradually come into life. Awareness, consciousness and support of people in building civilized urban areas are increasingly enhanced, contributing to joining hands with the Party Committee and the government to strive to upgrade the town to a ward, district to a town by 2025.
