The 2nd Congress of Thanh Hoa Provincial Forestry Association

On the morning of December 22, Thanh Hoa Provincial Forestry Association held the 2nd Congress of Delegates, term 2024-2029.

Thanh Hoa Forestry Association is a merger of the Forestry Science and Technology Association and the Provincial Forestry Club. Up to now, the association has attracted 458 members, operating in 25 branches.

In the 2019-2024 term, the association has carried out more than 39 scientific topics and tasks that have been accepted and effectively applied to production practices. Many topics have participated in the Central and Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Competitions.

Along with that, the association has worked with the Forestry Project Management Board, the Vietnam Forestry Science and Technology Association, and the Thanh Hoa Forest Protection and Development Fund to organize 14 workshops and training courses such as: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions through combating deforestation, forest degradation, and sustainable forest management; Developing sustainable forest management plans and granting FSC certificates; Effectiveness of large timber plantation models using hybrid acacia; Methods of collecting data and documents to serve the development of sustainable forest management plans for forest owners who are organizations... Thereby, helping members grasp and comprehend new issues and apply them effectively in production.

In the 2024-2029 term, Thanh Hoa Forestry Association sets the goal of continuing to focus on consolidating and building strong branches; performing well professional tasks in the field of forestry activities; expanding, consolidating, and improving the quality of the association organization, striving to increase the number of members by 20% compared to the previous term.

Along with that, the association actively seeks and connects to participate in more projects to create jobs and increase income for members. Focus on mobilizing people to build intensive farming areas, restore bamboo trees, improve the efficiency of natural production forests combined with planting fruit trees and medicinal plants with high economic value; strengthen consulting, poverty reduction livelihood services, critical consulting, social appraisal, human resource training and expand domestic and international cooperation.
