The 17th Party Congress of Brigade 170

On March 25 and 26, in Ha Long City, the Party Committee of Brigade 170, Naval Region 1 held its 17th Congress for the 2025-2030 term. This is the grassroots party committee chosen by the Region 1 Party Committee to hold the congress first to gain experience throughout the region.

Attending and directing the meeting were Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Region 1. Also attending were representatives of a number of functional agencies of the Navy Political Department; leaders of regimental, brigade and equivalent units in the entire Region, and 114 delegates from the Brigade Party Committee.

During the past term, the Brigade Party Committee regularly grasped and strictly implemented the resolutions and directives of the Party Committees at all levels; led the successful completion of the goals and tasks set forth by the 15th Brigade Party Congress, with many tasks being excellently completed. The level, combat readiness capability, and combat training quality were improved; the work of building a regular order and training discipline was firmly consolidated; all aspects of logistics and technical work for the tasks were well ensured. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committees and organizations at all levels were constantly improved; officers and soldiers had a firm political stance, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

At the Congress, a number of limitations and shortcomings during the term were clarified; clear and specific responsibilities were assigned to each individual and collective, and lessons were drawn from the leadership work of the past term.

Delegates voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Party Congress of Brigade 170 for the 2025-2030 term.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Brigade Party Committee will continue to thoroughly grasp the directives, resolutions, regulations and rules of the Party and Party committees at all levels; lead the successful completion of key political tasks. In particular, the Brigade Party Committee will focus on improving the level and combat readiness capacity, firmly managing the sovereignty of assigned sea areas; continue to innovate and improve the quality of training, strive to annually make the Brigade and 2 flotillas excellent training units; build a strong Party Committee in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics, a strong Brigade in all aspects, "exemplary and typical"...

The congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress; the draft political report of the 14th Congress of Party Delegates of Region 1 and the political report of the Party Committee of Brigade 170 submitted to the congress.

Delegates voted to pass the Congress Resolution.

With a sense of responsibility and democracy, the Congress elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 13 comrades; elected 24 official delegates and 3 alternate delegates to attend the 13th Congress of the Party Committee of Region 1 for the 2025-2030 term.

Political Commissar of Vung 1 presented flowers to congratulate the Party Committee of Brigade 170 for the 2025-2030 term.

At the first meeting, the Party Executive Committee of Brigade 170 elected the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Brigade Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
