Mr. Duc affirmed that the admission plan of the National Economics University is basically suitable and meets the adjustments in the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, specifically: The direct admission method remains unchanged according to the new regulations; 4 admission combinations (A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) all have Math as the main subject, accounting for 33.3% (according to the required regulation, it is 25%);

The admission method combined with candidates with international SAT, ACT certificates; thinking assessment test scores, ability assessment, combined with international English certificates will continue to be maintained and there will be equivalent conversion rules between the methods to ensure fairness and benefit for candidates (candidates from many subjects will have their strongest points used for admission).
According to Mr. Duc, the National Economics University has researched and has an equivalent conversion rule based on the analysis of input data and learning outcomes of more than 20,000 admitted students in the past 3 years. However, this is past data, with reference value. The accuracy and reliability of the conversion need to be based on this year's data.
Mr. Duc informed that by the first week of April at the latest, the school will announce the Admissions Plan with the latest information in accordance with the amendments in the newly issued regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Before the adjustments of this year's Admission Regulations, Mr. Duc said that any changes or disruptions will lead to anxiety and confusion among candidates. That is the normal psychology of all candidates and parents.
Currently, it is certain that training institutions cannot announce the equivalence conversion rules between the examination methods, and need to wait for instructions from the Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, candidates still have to wait.
With this year’s change, information about admission scores to training institutions, majors, and programs from previous years will have less reference and comparison value for candidates. Therefore, confusion will arise when candidates choose schools and majors when registering for admission.
Mr. Duc said that basically, the changes in this year's regulations are aimed at creating favorable conditions for candidates in the admission process. Regardless of the equivalent conversion rules, candidates with good abilities demonstrated through the results of high school graduation exams, ability assessments, thinking assessments, etc. will certainly still have many opportunities to be admitted to good schools and majors...
"Therefore, candidates can rest assured and focus on studying and reviewing to prepare the best conditions for the upcoming admissions. Follow the official updates from the Ministry of Education and Training and training institutions about admissions in the near future," said Dr. Le Anh Duc.
Speaking more about the newly issued Admission Regulations, Mr. Duc shared that the adjustments of the Ministry of Education and Training basically facilitate training institutions and candidates in the admission process in a more streamlined, fair and effective manner.
In particular, there are 2 fundamental new points affecting the system: eliminating early admission to help candidates not be distracted as before, focus on studying in high school and participating in capacity assessment exams,... prepare the best conditions to participate in the admission exam.
Second, the regulation requires training institutions to determine the equivalent conversion rules for the input threshold and admission scores of admission methods, admission methods, and admission combinations. This means that there is no need to allocate separate quotas for each admission method and combination. Training institutions will conduct admission simultaneously in the same system, ensuring more streamlining in the admission stages.
The Ministry of Education and Training will have general guidelines for training institutions in equivalence conversion and only require the latest announcement at the same time as the announcement of the input quality assurance threshold to facilitate, help ensure consistency throughout the system when converting and can use data on this year's exam results for analysis. This increases the accuracy and reliability of equivalence conversion.
