Da Nang organizes tourism promotion in Korea

DNO - On July 8, Da Nang City organized a tourism promotion program in Seoul, South Korea, and launched the Enjoy Da Nang Again campaign to attract Korean tourists to return to Da Nang. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong and more than 70 guests representing airlines, travel agencies, MICE, golf, wedding organizers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

The program was organized within the framework of the investment and tourism promotion trip of the city's leadership delegation to Korea led by Party Central Committee member, City Party Secretary, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang.

The program introduces and updates information on new and unique tourism products, especially for the Korean market, while creating opportunities for tourism businesses in Da Nang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue to expand and connect business with partners in Korea.

According to Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, in the first 6 months of 2024, the total number of Korean visitors staying in Da Nang reached 822,765, accounting for more than 41% of the total structure of international visitors to Da Nang.

This number has reached the total number of Korean visitors to Da Nang in 2023 (935,000) and reached nearly 50% of the total number of Korean visitors in 2019, the peak period of Da Nang tourism.

The above figures show the love of Korean tourists for Da Nang as well as the attractiveness of the destination from the constant innovation in products and service quality.

It is known that in early 2024, Da Nang announced many new products to serve tourists such as: Bach Dang walking street and services at Nguyen Van Troi walking bridge, Da Nang flower street, Danang Downtown entertainment complex, launching jetski and flyboard shows (water motorbikes and hydraulic standing boards), art shows combined with fireworks every night...

The city also organizes a series of unique international events and festivals: Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024, 2nd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Da Nang Enjoy Festival, Vietnam - Korea Festival, Asian Development Golf Tournament 2024...

The city continues to focus on target market segments including MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences), golf tourism, wedding tourism and culinary tourism.

In 2024-2025, the city will issue a pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang, in which couples holding tourist weddings in Da Nang city will receive support and incentives from the welcome program at the airport or hotel, souvenir gifts and entrance tickets to tourist attractions and other attractive services...

One of the highlights of the program to connect and introduce Da Nang tourism in Korea is the announcement of the campaign "Enjoy Da Nang Again" held from July 15 to the end of 2024.

This program is organized to respond to the love of Korean tourists for the destination of Da Nang, "Enjoy Da Nang Again" offers many souvenirs and preferential packages for Korean tourists returning to Da Nang for the second time since 2020 to bring tourists more complete and interesting experiences.

With many new attractive products and services, regular cooperation and exchanges between Da Nang tourism partners and Korean tourism in Seoul, especially with the campaign "Enjoy Da Nang Again", Da Nang is determined to maintain its destination identity in the eyes of Korean tourists, not only as a unique destination but also as a "second home" with many inspiring and meaningful travel stories.
