Diversified forms of communication
In 2023, the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang instructed press agencies and the Da Nang City Electronic Information Portal to promote communication on mass media about digital transformation; open specialized pages and columns on the National Digital Transformation program, building e-government, smart cities and Da Nang Digital Transformation.
Currently, there have been nearly 100 in-depth news and articles about digital transformation in the area, contributing to promoting the dissemination of digital transformation to the public.
Meanwhile, the Center for Information, Monitoring and Smart Operations regularly communicates, disseminates laws, and compiles and posts news/articles/images of activities and events on digital transformation content at units, localities, and organizations with a frequency of 3-5 articles/week on social networking sites. At the same time, organizes digital transformation propaganda activities in visual forms such as billboards, banners, posters, banners, streamers, infographics, leaflets, handbooks, videos, etc.

The Center also maintains a hotline and channels for guidance and support on digital transformation; receives comments and suggestions on digital transformation in Da Nang via hotline 1022, Danang Smart City app and feedback application (gopy.danang.gov.vn).
The grassroots information system actively communicates about digital transformation, with about 300 categories, using more than 500 news and nearly 400 articles.
At the grassroots level, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of wards and communes coordinates to propagate policies, improve policies for community digital transformation teams; organizes training on digital transformation for heads and deputy heads of residential front work teams, aiming to change awareness about the role, meaning and importance of digital transformation from the grassroots level.
Spreading digital transformation
Responding to the annual Da Nang City Digital Transformation Day (August 28) and National Digital Transformation Day (October 10), agencies and units have deployed communications on billboards, banners, posters, and streamers. Accordingly, more than 460 digital transformation handbooks, 6,000 leaflets, 230 posters, 460 streamers, billboards, etc. have been used to promote digital transformation.
During the recent peak period, agencies and units organized communication activities such as organizing mini games to learn about digital transformation of Da Nang City in 2023, making photo reports, infographics, hashtags, posting banners to promote digital transformation-related content, launching a campaign to change profile picture frames, etc.

Many training activities help staff gain more skills in digital transformation in professional work, serving people better.

At the same time, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union directed all levels of the Youth Union to proactively and extensively deploy activities to participate in digital transformation. The activities of the Youth Union associated with digital transformation are spread across all aspects of work; focusing on developing and applying new and creative things.

According to an online survey by the Center for Information and Monitoring, Smart Operations in Da Nang, sectors and units are interested in applying digital transformation in specialized fields such as: Data management, information security; reporting processes, training, group meetings or coordination in work; exploiting and processing press information; data analysis, prediction and decision support for management levels...

On that basis, the units and localities expect the responsible agencies to promote communication work in the following contents: Dissemination of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, policies and laws of the State; policies and strategies of Da Nang City on digital transformation; impacts of digital transformation, digital government, digital technology on socio-economic development of Da Nang City; solutions for developing digital government, digital economy, digital society; priority areas of digital transformation of Da Nang City; communication, guidance for people to operate culturally in digital society, forming digital culture.
Based on the initial results of digital transformation communication work, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City affirmed that, from the perspective of state management, functional agencies need to focus on promoting digital transformation, with a focus on developing the digital economy - a platform to serve people and businesses.
Digital economy on the basis of extensive digital transformation will be a long-term strategy for comprehensive and sustainable development. At the same time, synchronously and effectively implementing the Digital Transformation Communication Project in Da Nang City for the period of 2022-2025, in the coming years, the Department of Information and Communications will continue to advise the People's Committee of Da Nang City to issue annual plans, promote coordination with departments, branches and localities to strengthen the implementation of specific tasks and solutions in the project. In particular, continue to promote the diversification of communication methods to people and businesses, join hands with the Party Committee and the Government of Da Nang to carry out the digital transformation process with many achievements.
