The Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 marks a bustling tourist season in Da Nang when the city welcomes more than 469,000 visitors, an increase of 16.7% compared to the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday. Of which, the number of international visitors reached more than 228,000, a sharp increase of 29%, while domestic visitors reached more than 241,000. Tourism revenue also reached VND 1,887 billion, an increase of 19.4% over the previous year.
Take care of Tet for people
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, along with tourism events and cultural activities, Da Nang City has implemented many programs to take care of Tet for people.
Especially for policy households, poor households, ethnic minorities, workers in industrial parks... with the goal of "every family, every person has Tet".

The total support budget is up to 126.14 billion VND, of which the central budget is 7.4 billion VND, the city budget is 108.48 billion VND and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City contributes 10.25 billion VND.
City leaders have organized many visits and New Year greetings to families of policy beneficiaries, armed forces units, businesses and individuals who have contributed to society.
At the same time, functional units also ensure adequate supply of Tet goods, maintain stable prices, and prevent shortages or sudden price increases.
Tourism activities flourish
On the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025, Da Nang continues to be an attractive destination for tourists thanks to a series of exciting activities and events. Tourist areas and spots such as Ngu Hanh Son, Ba Na Hills, Cham Sculpture Museum, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Mikazuki Tourist Area... are all open during Tet, welcoming a large number of visitors.

According to statistics, room occupancy at accommodation establishments reached about 50%, 4-5 star hotels alone reached 60-65% (an increase of nearly 10% compared to the Giap Thin Tet). Hotels also decorated beautifully for Tet, organized many special culinary and entertainment programs for tourists.
Da Nang International Airport also recorded a breakthrough growth with nearly 1,300 flights during Tet, an increase of 58% compared to last year. Of which, the number of domestic flights reached nearly 700, an increase of more than 70%, while international flights maintained a high frequency of 64 flights/day.

By sea, two international cruise ships docked at Tien Sa Port, bringing 800 tourists from the US and UK to Da Nang. River tourism was also vibrant with more than 23,200 visitors taking part in sightseeing tours on the Han River, up 7% over the previous year.
To create a vibrant Tet atmosphere, Da Nang organizes many attractive programs, including the spring flower festival, colorful Tet flower street, Tet rural market, regional specialty fair, New Year's Eve fireworks and nightly art programs such as Bai Choi singing performances, traditional musical instrument ensembles. Art exhibitions such as "Spring and Zodiac" at the Museum of Fine Arts also attract a large number of people and tourists.
In addition, major tourist destinations also organize their own activities. Sun World Ba Na Hills has a Tulip Festival, Da Nang Museum organizes a Tet Market recreating the traditional Tet atmosphere, Danang Downtown holds the Vuifest fair, Nui Than Tai Park organizes the 2025 Than Tai Festival. 4-5 star hotels also decorate impressive Tet spaces and organize traditional culinary programs to serve tourists.
Vietnam’s traditional Tet holiday is increasingly attracting foreign tourists, especially those from the US, Europe, South Korea and Taiwan. According to Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, the number of international visitors increased not only during Tet but is expected to continue to increase throughout February as they want to experience Vietnam’s traditional festival.
Mr. Vo Van Hai, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared that his family chose Ba Na Hills as their first destination because there was a tulip festival this time. The whole family also took a boat trip on the Han River, visited Linh Ung Pagoda and took photos at the Tet flower street. This was a beautiful and memorable spring trip with his family to a new land.
With a series of positive signals from the increasing number of visitors, the booming revenue, attractive events and the methodical investment in organizing Tet, Da Nang continues to affirm its position as a leading destination for domestic and international tourists. The Lunar New Year 2025 will not only bring in large revenue for the tourism industry but also contribute to promoting the image of a livable city to the world.
