Playing at home with a better squad of players from the V-League, Quang Nam won 4-1 against Hoa Binh. In the 33rd minute, the away team unexpectedly took the lead with a goal from Anh Tu. However, Quang Nam's subsequent pressure helped the home team successfully reverse the score to win 4-1. In the 59th minute, Tang Tien equalized 1-1, and this same striker scored the goal to increase the score for the Quang Nam team 5 minutes later.

Feeling more comfortable mentally when leading, Quang Nam increased the pressure at the end of the match and Dinh Bac and Hoang Vu Samson scored in turn to seal a 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile, at Phu Tho Stadium, the home team surprisingly lost to Long An with a score of 2-5 thanks to a double from striker Thanh Phong. In the remaining match at Dong Nai Stadium, the home team easily won the ticket to the next round after beating Ba Ria-Vung Tau 2-0.
