On December 7, the Food Safety Department issued a warning that recently, on some websites, there are links: https://www.facebook.com/1022888391221042/posts/1224480551061824; https://nhathuocgiabao.vn/xavakamit; https://thegioithuoc.net/bo-than-tang-cuong-sinh-ly/botalyzil-bo-than-trang-duong; http://trungtamthuoc.com/xmpow-12 advertising dietary supplements: Zamasstu - new, Xavakamit, Botalyzil, Castodi, XMPOW12 with misleading content that they have the same effect as medicine, violating the provisions of the law on food advertising.

Food Safety Department warns about products violating food advertising laws

The dietary supplements: Zamasstu - new, Xavakamit, Botalyzil, Castodi, XMPOW12 are announced and responsible for the products by Linh Dat Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (headquartered at Lac Hong Phuc Urban Area, Nhan Hoa Ward, My Hao Town, Hung Yen Province); the dietary supplement Botalyzil is announced and manufactured by Phuong Dong Pharmaceutical and Trading Company (headquartered at Hap Linh Industrial Cluster, Hap Linh Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh).

The company has issued document No. 221123/CV-CPLĐ dated November 22, 2023, affirming that the above advertisement was not carried out by the company and the company did not authorize any organization or individual to advertise the dietary supplements Zamasstu - new, Xavakamit, Botalyzil, Castodi, XMPOW12 at the above links.

The Food Safety Department is coordinating with relevant agencies to verify and handle the case according to current regulations. The handling results will be made public on the Department's website at: https://vfa.gov.vn/ and the public health portal at https://congkhaiyte.moh.gov.vn/.

While the authorities are handling the matter, the Food Safety Department recommends that consumers do not base their decisions to buy and use the products on the advertisements for dietary supplements Zamasstu - new, Xavakamit, Botalyzil, Castodi, XMPOW12 on the above links because of the risk of affecting health and economy.
The Food Safety Department also said that recently, at the link : https://quaythuoc.org/lehutra-curcumin-ho-tro-dieu-tri-day-hoi-o-chua-hieu-qua.html , the advertisement for the dietary supplement Lehutra - curcumin with misleading content claims that it has the same effect as a medicine, violating the provisions of the law on food advertising.

Lehutra-curcumin food is announced by Lehutra Pharmaceutical Company Limited (headquartered at Trai residential group, Di Su ward, My Hao town, Hung Yen province) and is responsible for the product. At the meeting on November 24, 2023, the legal representative of Lehutra Pharmaceutical Company Limited affirmed: the company did not carry out and did not authorize any organization or individual to advertise Lehutra-curcumin dietary supplement at the above link.

The Food Safety Department is coordinating with relevant agencies to verify and handle the case according to current regulations. The Food Safety Department will publish the results of the handling on the Department's website at vfa.gov.vn and the public health portal at https://congkhaiyte.moh.gov.vn/.

While the authorities are handling the matter, the Food Safety Department recommends that consumers do not base their decisions on the advertising content of the dietary supplement Lehutra - curcumin on the above link to purchase and use the product because it may pose a risk to health and the economy.

Forging documents, exploiting images and identities of doctors

The Food Safety Department said that it had recently received a petition and reflection from Associate Professor - Dr. Tran Thi Hong Phuong, former Deputy Director of the Department of Traditional Medicine (Ministry of Health) about some websites and some social networking sites taking advantage of her image and identity to advertise dietary supplements to sell products that in fact Ms. Tran Thi Hong Phuong does not have.

In addition, recently, some links have posted the product declaration registration receipt No. 204/2019/DKSP dated January 8, 2019 and advertising content confirmation certificate No. 1312/2020/XNQC-ATTP dated April 13, 2019 for the product Huong Phuc Khi. The Food Safety Department confirmed that these documents are fake documents; there is no product named Huong Phuc Khi registered at the Food Safety Department.

According to the Food Safety Department, most violations, after being requested to correct, had to remove the posts and correct the incorrect advertising content.

To purchase licensed products and refer to the licensed content that matches the product's effects, consumers should refer to official information on the official website of the Food Safety Department vfa.gov.vn and the website of the Ministry of Health: https://congkhaiyte.moh.gov.vn/.
