Tuan Giao voters propose upgrading and connecting traffic infrastructure

Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Thang responded to voters' petitions on traffic infrastructure.

The provincial National Assembly delegation includes delegates: Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Transport , Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; Major General Trang A Tua, Director of the Department of Building the National Security Movement, Ministry of Public Security; Lo Thi Luyen, Deputy Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation ; Ta Thi Yen, Deputy Head of the Delegation of Delegates of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Quang Thi Nguyet , civil servant of Muong Cha district, directly exchanged and listened to voters' thoughts and aspirations.

Voters proposed to add beneficiaries of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

The 6th session of the 15th National Assembly, which took place over 22.5 days (from October 23 to November 29), was a great success and completed all the contents of the proposed program, having important significance in terms of legislative work, supreme supervision and deciding on important issues of the country. At the session, the National Assembly passed 7 draft laws, 9 resolutions; gave first opinions on 8 draft laws, gave second opinions on the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended), gave third opinions on the draft Law on Land (amended)...

At the session, the National Assembly deputies of Dien Bien province demonstrated a high sense of responsibility towards voters and people, fully participated in the sessions and sideline activities of the session; actively studied documents, and made valuable contributions. Delegates of Dien Bien province had 21 comments to participate in group discussions, 3 comments to participate in discussions in the hall, and 1 question. They participated in many pressing issues of interest to voters, such as: Results of reviewing the system of legal documents; results of implementing Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15; social insurance policies; regulations on ensuring order and safety of road traffic...

Many of these recommendations were related to traffic infrastructure, including: Paying attention to investing and upgrading the section of National Highway 279 avoiding Tuan Giao town according to the planning; investing and upgrading traffic infrastructure, helping the district strengthen connections with Dien Bien Phu city and neighboring provinces; considering and adding intersections and connections between the Son La - Dien Bien - Tay Trang border gate expressway and the traffic system of Tuan Giao district... In addition, there were many opinions related to the local socio-economy, such as: Paying attention to building a macadamia processing factory; connecting coffee consumption; investing in the national grid for highland villages; expanding the beneficiaries of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do responded to a number of recommendations and proposals from voters within his authority and discussed further on the remaining opinions. At the same time, he also reported, proposed, and clarified the contents under the authority of the Central Government that voters had raised, so that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation would continue to recommend to the Central Government to invest and implement for Tuan Giao district and Dien Bien province .

With 2 contents under his authority, the Chairman of Tuan Giao District People's Committee also informed about the tasks, implementation results, and connections of the district to develop and ensure the consumption of macadamia and coffee in the area. Along with that, the remaining difficulties, he requested the province and the National Assembly Delegation of the province to pay attention and support.

Regarding the recommendations of the Central authority, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province Nguyen Van Thang acknowledged and accepted, especially regarding the traffic infrastructure that voters had recommended. Delegate Nguyen Van Thang affirmed that this is a legitimate aspiration of the people, and that investment in traffic connection projects is necessary. At the same time , he said that the Ministry of Transport will balance , consider and study funding sources to implement and organize the early upgrading of National Highway 279 avoiding Tuan Giao town according to the plan. Continue to study to strengthen traffic connections between Tuan Giao in particular, Dien Bien in general with neighboring provinces; aiming to effectively implement the expressway connecting Dien Bien - Son La for inter-regional development. Use maintenance resources to maintain, repair, and handle potential black spots for traffic accidents on National Highways 6 and 279 for safer and more convenient traffic...

Regarding the opinion on adding beneficiaries of the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, delegate Nguyen Van Thang said that the National Assembly and the Government have acknowledged and accepted the policy of removing obstacles. In the coming time, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to monitor and supervise the implementation and remove obstacles in the proposed content . Regarding the proposal on the power grid, the delegate suggested that the province closely follow the central ministries and branches to quickly deploy and have effective solutions to implement the project "Lighting up Dien Bien". The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will give opinions to the province so that the ministries and branches pay attention and create conditions to soon realize bringing electricity to all the highland villages of Dien Bien...
