Local voters petition many urgent issues

At the meetings with voters of the delegation of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province, voters of Huong Son district and Hong Linh town (Ha Tinh) reflected many issues related to people's lives.

On the morning of November 9, in Ha Chua village, Son Tay commune (Huong Son), the delegation of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting with voters before the 18th Provincial People's Council session and the 20th Huong Son District People's Council session. At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates reported on the results of socio-economic development since the beginning of the year; limitations, causes and solutions to overcome them in the coming time; and reviewed the contents and agenda of the 18th Provincial People's Council Session.

Voters in Huong Son expressed their agreement with the reports and proposed many ideas in various fields.

Regarding the agricultural sector, voters requested that specialized agencies and localities manage and exploit forest areas effectively; and pay attention to building anti-erosion embankments on the Ngan Pho River in Kim Thanh village, Son Tay commune to prevent encroachment of agricultural land.

Regarding security and order, voters suggested that there be synchronous solutions to rectify the situation of encroachment on sidewalks, roadsides, and container truck parking along the roads in localities such as Son Tay, Son Kim 1, Tay Son town, causing loss of aesthetics and potential traffic accidents; continue to strengthen environmental protection and waste treatment in the district.

Many voters proposed increasing the regular allowance for meritorious people; adding policies to support Tay Son town in building a civilized urban area.

Propose to improve the support regime for part-time workers at the village and residential group levels; further improve the quality of medical examination and treatment using health insurance; pay attention to investing in machinery and equipment systems at Cau Treo International Border Gate General Hospital.

At the conference, voters expressed their excitement about the socio-economic development of the province, especially economic growth and investment project attraction activities in Ha Tinh in recent times.

Voter Nguyen Thi Quy (Bac Hong Ward) requested the Provincial People's Committee and Hong Linh Town to continue to invest in machinery and equipment for Hong Linh Medical Center to better serve the medical examination and treatment of the people.

Voters also expressed their opinions on the shortcomings related to a number of transport infrastructure investment projects in the area; the landslide situation on both banks of the Minh River flowing through Hong Linh Town; some projects implemented in the town are still behind schedule...

Voters believe that in recent years, the urban construction and beautification movement has had many positive changes, however, in the coming time, all levels and sectors need to continue mobilizing resources to invest in building sidewalks and drainage systems, especially in low-lying areas that are frequently flooded. Voters also suggest that the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee need to have more policies to support agricultural development to attract businesses to invest in the high-tech agricultural sector.

On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, delegate Nguyen Huy Hung and representatives of leaders of some departments, branches and sectors received and explained some contents under their authority. The recommendations and proposals of voters will be compiled and classified to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.
