Mr. Duong Thanh Binh said that voters and people highly agree to continue directing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on streamlined organization in the political system.

Voters and people expect to soon have a streamlined, modern, efficient and effective organizational system of Party and State agencies and mass organizations from the central to local levels to create a premise for the country to develop rapidly in the new era. era of growth of the nation.

In addition, voters and people also highly appreciated the 10 typical events and activities of the Vietnamese National Assembly in 2024; especially the strong innovation in thinking about law-making according to new requirements.

The legislative work has achieved very important results, especially recognizing the innovation in thinking about law-making to ensure effective state management while encouraging innovation and creativity, liberating all productive forces; promoting decentralization and delegation of power; thoroughly cutting down administrative procedures; taking people and businesses as the center and subjects in legal regulations.

In addition, voters and people agree with the regulation banning e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products from 2025, and at the same time hope that the authorities will soon issue legal documents to deal with units and individuals who illegally store and trade e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

However, according to the Head of the Petition Committee, voters and people are still worried about some phenomena that often occur during the Lunar New Year such as: goods prices increase due to increased consumption demand; high bus fares make people upset, causing difficulties for people's lives, especially students and low-income workers who need to return home for Tet holiday...

Besides, there are traffic jams and accidents during holidays and Tet; illegal trading, transportation, storage and use of firecrackers continue; street crime, especially robbery, is forecast to become more complicated; air pollution in big cities, especially in Hanoi; food poisoning; fires causing great damage to people and property have occurred consecutively recently in Hanoi, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, killing and injuring many people...

"These are issues that need to be further addressed by authorities to find effective solutions in the coming time," said Mr. Duong Thanh Binh.

Need solutions to stabilize market and prices during Lunar New Year

Based on the feedback and recommendations of voters, the Petition Committee recommends that the National Assembly Standing Committee request the Government and the Prime Minister to direct relevant ministries, branches, and local authorities to pay attention to the preparation of goods for the Lunar New Year in localities; have solutions to stabilize the market and prices during the Lunar New Year to ensure supply-demand balance, stabilize the market, and contribute to economic stability; have solutions to thoroughly resolve the environmental pollution situation.

The Ministry of Transport shall strengthen measures to inspect and supervise the implementation of fare declaration, posting of transport fares, train and bus ticket prices according to regulations and strictly handle passenger transport businesses that increase ticket prices in violation of regulations.

The Ministry of Public Security has stepped up propaganda to raise people's awareness of vigilance and robbery prevention during the Tet holiday; increased inspection and strict handling of vehicles carrying oversized and overloaded goods, violating regulations on load and oversized limits on road circulation.

At the same time, there are specific solutions and plans to strictly control and limit the risk of traffic accidents on all routes to ensure traffic safety, especially when passenger and cargo transportation activities will increase in time to serve the Lunar New Year.

The Ministry of Health has stepped up inspection, examination, detection and strict handling of establishments violating food safety regulations, and strengthened the prevention of food poisoning, especially during the Lunar New Year, food poisoning in collective kitchens, schools, and food poisoning caused by street food.
