Dai Ninh Hydropower Company supplies electricity in the dry season of 2024

In early 2024, the water level of Dai Ninh Hydropower Reservoir reached 879.870 m, approximately equal to the normal water level (880.00 m). This is a favorable condition for the operation of electricity supply as well as water supply downstream for daily life and agricultural production in Binh Thuan province and other planning targets of Dai Ninh Hydropower Company in 2024.

In the first 5 months of 2024, the flow to the lake was low, reaching about 3.83 m3 ^/ s, corresponding to a frequency of 91%. With the low flow to the lake but in return, the water storage in the lake at the beginning of the year was good, so Dai Ninh Hydropower Company has operated and regulated the harmony between power supply and water supply to the downstream. As of May 29, 2024, the Company has generated a total output to the grid of 322 million kWh, equivalent to 47% of the planned output assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Power Generation Corporation 1.

In addition to operating the reservoir according to regulations, in the past time, Dai Ninh Hydropower Company has always strived to ensure the operation of electricity supply in the dry season of 2024 with solutions such as: Regularly checking and monitoring the safe and reliable operation of equipment; regularly practicing handling situations to improve operating skills; performing regular maintenance and repair work on schedule and exceeding the plan to ensure the availability of generators ready to meet the mobilization schedule of the National Power System Dispatch Center.

In addition, Dai Ninh Hydropower Company has coordinated well with the locality of Binh Thuan province, Power Generation Corporation 1 as well as the National Power System Control Center in confirming the downstream water demand to carry out bidding work, schedule appropriate power generation mobilization to optimize the exploitation of water volume to the lake, ensuring harmony between downstream water supply demand and power generation demand.

The water level of the reservoir as of 24:00 on May 29, 2024 was 869.060 m, 9.06 m from the dead water level, this water level is quite high compared to the same period in previous years; it can be said that Dai Ninh Hydropower Company has ensured the electricity supply target for 5 months of the dry season, while keeping water ready to generate electricity in the remaining 2 months of the dry season in 2024.
