Groundbreaking ceremony of Tra Vinh Fruit Processing Factory

The project “Tra Vinh Fruit Processing Factory - Greenfood” is built in Tu O hamlet (Hung Hoa commune), with a total area of ​​over 4.9 hectares with 14 works: factory, cold storage, office building, dormitory, dining room, garage, garbage house, warehouse... and auxiliary items with a total investment of over 379 billion VND. Expected completion time is January 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Stella Invest Joint Stock Company said: The project is not only a new development step of Stella Invest in the field of agricultural and fruit processing, but also a testament to the Company's dedication and aspiration in enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products in general and agricultural products - especially Tra Vinh coconut trees in particular.

With modern technology in the production of soft drinks, fruit juices, fresh and dried coconut products, canned fruits, the Company will bring high quality products, meeting domestic and export needs. Tra Vinh Fruit Processing Factory - GreenFood was established with the mission of connecting businesses and farmers sustainably, helping to stabilize agricultural product consumption, creating more jobs for hundreds of local workers.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien said: This is a key project of the province and the regional linkage area. Tieu Can district has potential strengths in cultivating and producing many types of fruits.

Currently, Tra Vinh province has about 7,500 hectares of land for growing citrus trees (oranges, grapefruits, lemons, etc.) of which coconut trees have about 27,000 hectares with a fruit output of several tens of thousands of tons/year or more. Solving the problem of agricultural product output for farmers is still difficult. Therefore, the fruit processing factory was built to solve the problem of agricultural products in the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that by June 2025, the Project will complete Phase 1 and by January 2026, the Project will complete the works to purchase agricultural products from people, process and supply to the domestic market and export. The investor, construction units, sponsors and district departments and branches need to focus on the Project.

The investor is requested to coordinate with units to focus all resources to ensure construction progress on schedule, ensure environmental safety in the project area during construction, and contractors recruit local workers. Provincial and district departments and branches focus on supporting businesses to remove all difficulties and obstacles... so that the investor can ensure legal conditions for implementation.
