According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the last months of 2023, temperatures tend to be higher while rainfall is lower than the average of many years in the same period and the possibility of El Nino returning in the last months of 2023 is very high. Therefore, water flow to reservoirs in the Central Highlands and the South will tend to decrease.
To ensure water supply for daily life and agriculture in the downstream of Binh Thuan province in the last months of 2023 as well as the dry months of 2024; Dai Ninh Hydropower Company has coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province to develop a detailed plan for electricity production and reservoir exploitation in 2024 based on reservoir water level plans accumulated since the beginning of 2024 to optimally exploit the reservoir for electricity production and downstream water supply.
