The important role of key projects
2025 is the final year of the 5-year plan 2020 - 2025. Therefore, the implementation of socio-economic development targets in 2025 is of special importance to Dak Nong province.
This year, the province set 11 high economic and social development targets. Of which, GRDP growth reached 8.11%; average income per capita reached 85 million VND. ; State budget revenue of more than 3,500 billion VND; Total social investment capital 26,000 billion VND...
To achieve the set goals and targets, promoting infrastructure development and public investment plays a very important role. In particular, the completion of key projects will contribute greatly to Dak Nong's growth rate in 2025 as well as the whole period.
Dak Nong has 6 key projects under implementation. Of which, the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project Phase 2 will help complete the intra-provincial transport network, creating favorable conditions for transporting goods (especially bauxite), developing tourism and inter-regional connectivity.
The Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project helps connect Dak Nong with the key economic region of the Southeast, opening up opportunities to attract investment and promote inter-regional trade.
The Dak Nong General Hospital upgrade project, once completed, will better meet the needs of medical examination and treatment, reduce overload and limit the need for people to be transferred to major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City or neighboring provinces.
The project to relocate and resettle 212 households in the central area of Gia Nghia City demonstrates the government's concern in ensuring stable living conditions for the people; at the same time, it contributes to urban planning, creating new development space for the city.
Projects such as Gia Nghia City Central Square and Dak Nong Provincial Museum, Library and Park Complex play an important role in improving the spiritual life of the people.
The square is not only a place to organize political and cultural events but also becomes a public activity destination, creating a new look for Gia Nghia urban area.
Most of the key projects are due for completion in 2025. This year, Dak Nong plans to disburse VND3,504 billion for infrastructure development projects.
Of which, the capital for key projects is very large. However, according to the report of the Department of Finance, many key projects of the province still have a large amount of capital backlog. Among them, the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe road project is at risk of having its capital cut by the Central Government if it is not completed this year.

The heavy responsibility of the leader
Dak Nong has been implementing key projects for many years, but most of them are behind schedule compared to the set plan. Among them, there are projects that have been sluggish for many years, facing the risk of losing capital.
In the conferences of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and many meetings of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee recently, outstanding issues and limitations in the implementation of key projects have been pointed out.
The biggest limitation is the lack of determination, hesitation, and fear of responsibility of some officials, especially leaders. This is a factor that hinders the progress in implementing key projects.
At the 2025 task assignment conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi pointed out that many difficulties and bottlenecks reflect the lack of capacity and determination of the "industry commander".
"The "industry commanders" of units, districts and cities must do their best, fulfill their responsibilities and roles. If everyone fulfills their responsibilities, everything will be in order and the work will go smoothly," emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.
The message of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shows the determination and desire of the provincial leaders to promote the role and responsibility of the "industry commanders". In other words, the "industry commanders" play a decisive role in implementing current key projects.
Directing at the 18th Conference of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Executive Committee held on December 5, 2024, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province Ngo Thanh Danh requested local authorities and leaders to take drastic and responsible action with specific solutions.
Leaders must "dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate, dare to face difficulties and challenges, dare to act for the common interests of the province and the people".
All levels, sectors and localities need to innovate their methods of direction, administration and implementation with high political determination, closeness, determination, focus and key points, associated with the specific responsibilities of each organization and individual, especially the leader.

The goals and messages of the provincial leaders are clear. Now is the time for the "industry commanders" to demonstrate their capabilities and start implementing the committed targets.
"Only with strong, drastic, and responsible participation, along with close coordination between all levels, sectors, and localities, can Dak Nong achieve the targets set for 2025," affirmed Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province, Ngo Thanh Danh.
The Provincial People's Committee has directed to clarify responsibilities, review collectives and individuals, and propose personnel work. If any leader cannot do it, let someone else do it.
