This year, Tuyen Quang’s Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated by Tuyen Quang city residents from the beginning of the 7th lunar month, earlier than last year. The number of tourists flocking to Tuyen Quang is increasing. Accommodation establishments have carefully prepared conditions for tourists to have the best place to rest and immerse themselves in the unique festival atmosphere of Tuyen Quang.

The province currently has over 400 tourist accommodation establishments with over 4,300 rooms and 120 homestays. Of which, Tuyen Quang city has the most with 232 accommodation establishments. For the past month, accommodation establishments, service and tourism spots in the city in particular and the province in general have been bustling. Most motels, hotels and homestays have added more equipment and amenities to their rooms to create a beautiful image in the hearts of tourists from all over.

As a hotel business unit with many years of experience in welcoming tourist groups in the province, Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hang, Manager of Mai Son Hotel said: "Our hotel has prepared facilities, equipment as well as trained the best staff in housekeeping, room service, and reception to welcome tourists to the holiday on September 2 as well as to the Festival of Performing Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024".

Muong Thanh Hotel has 150 rooms, serving up to 300 guests per night. The hotel has carefully prepared its facilities, upgraded its dining and relaxation services such as swimming pool and gym. The Thanh Tuyen Festival will have a large number of international guests, so the unit has also carefully prepared a special menu for foreign guests. The hotel aims to provide attentive service so that visitors have the best experience in Tuyen Quang.

Not only the city area, but also localities with potential for eco-tourism and resorts have prepared conditions to serve guests. Mr. Luong Duy Doanh, Director of Fivestar Travel Company, managing and operating the Nam Dip & Ban Bon Homestay (Lam Binh) said: The homestay has renovated the campus, trimmed trees, planted more flowers, and checked the entire electrical system. Reviewed and maintained all equipment used such as water heaters, showers, checked and replaced bedding, kitchen utensils, checked fire prevention equipment, and enhanced the lighting system to create a sense of security for visitors at night.

These days, Tat Cung homestay, Trung Ha commune (Chiem Hoa) is also actively planning to welcome tourists; fully preparing facilities and renewing utensils and learning about local specialties to introduce to tourists. At the same time, collecting daily items of local ethnic people to display and introduce to tourists.

No room rate increase

On the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2 and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024, Tuyen Quang authorities require public disclosure of prices of goods and services, not to arbitrarily increase prices, force customers, causing negative impacts on the tourism industry.

Discussing this issue, comrade Le Manh Thao, Director of the Market Management Department of Tuyen Quang province said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Market Management Department has issued a document directing the Market Management Teams to organize restaurants, hotels, and accommodation establishments to sign a commitment to sell at the listed price and not to arbitrarily increase prices. The Provincial Market Management Department will conduct inspections of 32 restaurants, hotels, food and accommodation service businesses in the whole province. The Department will maintain a hotline number, if any cases arise, the authorities will conduct inspections and strictly handle them according to regulations.

Currently, in addition to hotels, motels, and homestays, there are 23 households in Tuyen Quang city that are eligible to register to welcome and serve tourists during the Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024. Family rooms cost from 50 to 150 thousand VND/person/night. Hotels such as Mai Son Hotel cost from 800 thousand VND to 1 million VND/room/night; Muong Thanh Hotel costs from 1.5 to 3.8 million VND/room/night; Maria Hotel costs from 450 thousand VND to 1 million VND/room/night...

In order to strengthen the management of tourism activities, ensure conditions for serving visitors during the National Day holiday on September 2 and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province has organized propaganda and mobilized organizations, businesses, and communities to stimulate domestic tourism; strengthen information, propaganda, and promotion of tourist destinations, tourism products, and new tourism programs. Strengthen propaganda of some warning information to tourists to prevent violations by tourists when participating in tourism activities. Along with that, strengthen management and guidance of tourist areas, destinations, units, and tourism service businesses in the area to ensure conditions for tourism service business according to the provisions of law; implement civilized codes of conduct in tourism.

With careful preparation of all conditions, accommodation establishments in the province are ready to welcome guests during the peak season. Thereby, contributing to building and spreading the image of Tuyen Quang tourism as safe, friendly, high-quality and hospitable.
