Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on April 4, 2025, Ms. LTT (born in 1960, residing in Xuan Khanh ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city) reported the loss of assets including cash and gold, with a total estimated value of about 3 billion VND at house number 328 Tam Vu street, Hung Loi ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city.
Using professional measures, the police force quickly identified and summoned the suspect, Nguyen Tan Dat (born in 1981, residing in Xuan Thang commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city). Through the struggle, Dat admitted to breaking into Ms. LTT's house to steal property.
During the search of Nguyen Tan Dat's residence, the Investigation Police Agency seized more than 1.4 billion VND in cash, 5 plain gold rings, 2 gold rings and many related exhibits.
The Investigation Police Agency of Can Tho City Police has issued an order to detain Nguyen Tan Dat in an emergency and temporarily detain him for further investigation and clarification of the case according to the law.
