Bau Duc's daughter will spend nearly 21 billion VND to buy HAG shares

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAG) announced that Ms. Doan Hoang Anh, daughter of Chairman of the Board of Directors Doan Nguyen Duc (Bau Duc), registered to buy 2 million shares from August 20 to September 18. The transaction method is by order matching on the floor. HAG shares on the morning of August 16 were at 10,350 VND, it is estimated that Ms. Doan Hoang Anh will spend nearly 21 billion VND to buy all the registered shares. It is expected that after the transaction, Ms. Doan Hoang Anh's ownership volume will increase from 11 million shares to 13 million shares, equivalent to 1.23% of capital.

The transaction of Mr. Duc's daughter took place in the context that HAG shares have decreased about 30% since the beginning of June until now.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai focuses on pig farming and banana growing projects...

Hoang Anh Gia Lai reported net revenue in the second quarter of 2024 of VND 1,518 billion, up 5% over the same period last year. After deducting expenses, the company's profit after tax was VND 281 billion, 3.4 times higher than the same period last year. In the first 6 months of 2024, Mr. Duc's company achieved revenue of VND 2,759 billion, down 12% but profit after tax reached VND 507 billion, up 32% over the same period last year.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai has completed the private offering of shares and raised VND1,300 billion, raising its charter capital to VND10,574 billion. Regarding investment projects, the company focuses on pig farming and banana and durian cultivation. In the first 6 months of 2024, the company increased the durian area from 1,500 hectares to 1,947 hectares, an increase of 447 hectares; the banana area remained at 7,000 hectares. This year, Hoang Anh Gia Lai set a record high revenue target of VND7,750 billion, an increase of 20% compared to 2023, and a profit target of VND1,320 billion, a decrease of 26% compared to last year's results.

Thus, after 6 months, the company has achieved 36% of its revenue target and 38% of its annual profit target. If the plan is completed, 2024 will be the third consecutive year that Hoang Anh Gia Lai reaches the trillion-VND profit milestone, gradually reducing and eliminating accumulated losses.
