On July 17, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City announced the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, including 79 scores of 10; for the two subjects of math and literature, no candidate scored 10.
The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City said that this year, Da Nang has 13,560 candidates registered for the high school graduation exam. Of these, the number of candidates studying in grade 12 (high school education program and continuing education program) is 12,774, the number of independent candidates is 787. There are 12,852 candidates taking the exam to both recognize graduation and consider college and university admission; 103 candidates registered for graduation and 605 candidates registered for college and university admission.
Literature scores of 8 points or higher only reached 17.99%; 6.5 points or higher reached 58.76%; 5 points or higher accounted for 90.52%. For math, 8 points or higher only reached 23.1%; 6.5 points or higher reached 62.26%; 5 points or higher accounted for 84.28%.

Vu Hoang Hai, a student at Phan Chau Trinh High School, was the top student in group A (math, physics, chemistry) with 28.8 points and A1 (math, physics, English) with 28.7 points. Nguyen Dang Nguyen, a student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, was the top student in group B (math: 9.2; chemistry: 9.75; biology: 9.5) with 28.45 points. Dang Lam Thanh Van, a student at Ong Ich Khiem High School, was the top student in group C (literature: 9.25; history: 9.75; geography: 10) with a total score of 29. Huynh Hoai Duyen, a student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, was the top student in group D (math: 9.0; literature: 9.5; English: 9.6) with a total score of 28.1.
