(NLDO) – A bank has just issued bonds expected to mobilize 1,300 billion VND with an interest rate of 8.2%/year in the first year.
BVBank has just offered bonds to the public in 2024-2025 (phase 2) after receiving approval from the State Securities Commission.
Accordingly, this bank issued 13 million bonds, with a face value of VND100,000/bond, to mobilize VND1,300 billion. The bonds have a term of 6 years, with the first year's interest rate fixed at 8.2%/year. From the second year, the interest rate is calculated using the reference interest rate (average deposit interest rates of Vietcombank, VietinBank, BIDV and Agribank) plus a margin of 2.5%/year.
Individual investors can order a minimum of 100 bonds (VND10 million), while institutional investors require a minimum of 1,000 bonds (VND100 million). With an interest rate of over 8%/year, this is an attractive investment opportunity with a starting capital of only VND10 million.
After issuance, BVBank bonds will be registered at the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation and listed on the trading system of the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
Customers can buy public bonds from 10 million VND.
According to the reporter, recently, many commercial banks have issued bonds to mobilize tens of thousands of billions of VND. Statistics from VIS Rating show that in November 2024, banks issued about 17,400 billion VND in new bonds.
Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) noted that in November, a series of banks such as TPBank, HDBank, BacABank, ACB, MSB, Vietcombank, LPBank, Eximbank... raised capital through the channel of privately issued bonds.
According to VBMA, businesses bought back more than VND6,200 billion worth of bonds before maturity in November, down 44% compared to the same period last year. It is expected that in the last month of the year, about VND42,000 billion worth of bonds will mature, mainly in the real estate sector.
In the first 11 months of 2024, the total value of corporate bond issuance in the whole market reached more than VND 374,000 billion, an increase compared to VND 338,000 billion in the same period last year.
