- Money transfer transactions will require facial authentication

It is expected that from April 1, 2024, when making money transfers, the person making the transaction will be biometrically checked by face to ensure safety. That is the remarkable information announced at the Workshop "Digital transformation of banking, finance and opportunities for farmers" organized by the Vietnam Farmers' Association in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on the morning of October 13 in Hanoi. VinFast shares fell immediately after Vingroup's Board of Directors and billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong transferred 99.8% of shares of VinES electric vehicle battery company to this car company. As of 9:00 p.m. on October 12 (Vietnam time), VFS shares fell more than 3.2% compared to the previous session. VFS's capitalization was at 18.2 billion USD. (See more)

Oil prices on the world market today increased as supply showed signs of tightening over a long period of time. Brent oil prices rose to 87 USD/barrel, WTI oil prices were at 85 USD/barrel.

Gold prices on the world market today turned down slightly when reports on the US economy were released. The price of SJC gold bars in the morning decreased by 150,000 VND/tael but in the afternoon it increased by 100,000 VND/tael.

The central exchange rate today increased by 10 VND. The USD price at commercial banks increased slightly. The USD price on the free market also increased. The world USD price turned to increase.

On the stock market , on October 13, VN-Index increased for the 6th consecutive session. VN-Index increased by 3.12 points, to 1,154.73 points.

Today's bank interest rates recorded the highest interest rates for 6-month and 9-month terms belonging to PVCombank and NCB. Sacombank has not adjusted interest rates in the past 30 days.
