Oil prices on the world market today increased as supply showed signs of tightening over a long period of time. Brent oil prices rose to 87 USD/barrel, WTI oil prices were at 85 USD/barrel.
Gold prices on the world market today turned down slightly when reports on the US economy were released. The price of SJC gold bars in the morning decreased by 150,000 VND/tael but in the afternoon it increased by 100,000 VND/tael.
The central exchange rate today increased by 10 VND. The USD price at commercial banks increased slightly. The USD price on the free market also increased. The world USD price turned to increase.
On the stock market , on October 13, VN-Index increased for the 6th consecutive session. VN-Index increased by 3.12 points, to 1,154.73 points.
Today's bank interest rates recorded the highest interest rates for 6-month and 9-month terms belonging to PVCombank and NCB. Sacombank has not adjusted interest rates in the past 30 days.
