- Coach Troussier's team played very well, especially in ball control. Ball control helps the Vietnamese team even when we play defensively against Japan.
Specifically, when winning the ball back, the players do not rush to attack up front, but hold the ball and coordinate right on their own half of the field, actively control the tempo of the match, and then counterattack.

- That is another progress in the young players. I think their spirit is getting better after the players and Coach Troussier understand each other better. The Vietnamese team in the recent match with Japan was completely different from themselves in previous friendly matches.
After the match with Japan, the team's spirit was even better, due to increased confidence. As for Coach Troussier, I think he relieved himself of a lot of pressure through what the Vietnamese team showed against Japan.

- Regarding the specific personnel on the field, I don't know. Only the head coach knows best the situation of the whole team, the situation of each individual. Moreover, who to use or not to use in each match depends on the calculations of the coaches in those matches, depends on who we face, and what results we aim for.
If the opponent is Japan, even if the Vietnamese team uses all the stars that our football has, we will still lose, because Japan is too strong.
Even if we use many stars for the match with Japan, not only will we not be able to change the result (loss in the end), but after conceding a goal, the stars will lose their spirit faster than the young players.

As for the specific young faces that appeared in the match against Japan, which player impressed you the most?
- Nguyen Dinh Bac is a notable name. I noticed him not only because he scored against Japan on January 14. Actually, I have noticed Dinh Bac for about 2 years now, he plays for Quang Nam team.
Dinh Bac is fast, skillful, and shoots the ball well. His best position is right behind the striker. Mr. Troussier easily recognized this and helped Dinh Bac develop in the national team.
This is also the general image of the current young players that we want to aim for. The Vietnam team needs to prepare for the future, this generation of players and the way Coach Troussier works is to prepare for that future of Vietnamese football.

Vietnam team continues to change when facing Indonesia
If there is any area of the Vietnam team that makes you feel secure, which area is it?
- Overall, the whole team played well and coordinated well. If I had to point out an area that played effectively, I would rate the defense highly. The defense of the Vietnamese team in the last match played very safely, as we know that Japan is very strong.

After playing well in the match against Japan, do you predict that the Vietnamese team will change in the match against Indonesia?
- There will likely be changes. I think that for each match, for each different opponent, Coach Troussier will choose a different approach. He has enough experience and ability to do this.
In the upcoming match against Indonesia, I predict that the Vietnamese team will not only use a different playing style, but also use a different force compared to the match against Japan. In terms of personnel, the team has not used Quang Hai and Ho Tan Tai.
Those are the best players of Vietnamese football in the position they are playing. We have to deal with Indonesia to have any hope of going to the next round, so the best players will be used. In my opinion, the key force of the Vietnamese team will appear when we face Indonesia.
The match against Indonesia will be pivotal for the Vietnamese team. Whether the changes made by coach Troussier in recent times are effective or not will be most clearly shown through the match against the team from the archipelago.
