Bac Ha District confirmed that there was a cut, causing 11 students to eat white rice with two packs of instant noodles. Because some of the content that needs to be verified involves many people, at different times, and is complex, some of the content has been transferred to Bac Ha District Police for further investigation and verification.

The People's Committee of Bac Ha district also informed that it had received a resignation letter from Mr. Tran Ngoc Ha, Principal of Hoang Thu Pho 1 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, for the reason that he took responsibility for his leadership and direction, leading to negative public opinion in society.
In the first semester of this school year, Hoang Thu Pho 1 School has 174 boarding students who are receiving support from the Government. Of which, the cost of meals is over 501 million VND for 4 months. In addition, the cost for 5 cooks is 54 million VND (2.7 million VND/person/month). By the end of October, this school had settled nearly 250 million VND through the Treasury.
Previously, the press reported that boarding meals showed signs of being cut, with 11 students having to share two packs of instant noodles with rice at Hoang Thu Pho 1 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Bac Ha District, causing a stir in public opinion.
Besides breakfast of instant noodles, for lunch and dinner, students were only given a little chopped ham and vegetable soup, even though the board said there were 14 kg of pork and 11 kg of bones.
In another meal, the school fed students tofu and soup, lacking meat and bones as the bulletin board stated.
The principal insisted that the meal was adequate, while the students said they were "not full yet", and that they had finished all the food but still had not finished the white rice. The kitchen staff said that the amount of food received for cooking was only one-third of the publicly announced quantity.
The Government and the Ministry of Education and Training also requested the People's Committee of Lao Cai province to clearly verify the content reported by the press and strictly handle relevant groups and individuals if there are any violations.
