Nha Trang City:: Unexpected rewards for 1 group and 4 individuals who saved a drowning person

Leaders of Nha Trang City and the Provincial Border Guard Command awarded certificates of merit to Cau Bong Border Guard Station.

Nha Trang City leaders awarded certificates of merit and gifts to 4 individuals.

At the ceremony, Mr. Luu Thanh Nhan praised the urgent rescue spirit of officers and soldiers of Cau Bong Border Post and the brave actions of individuals to save people. He expressed his belief that these brave actions will continue to contribute to spreading the sense of responsibility to the community and society.

Nha Trang City People's Committee commended and rewarded Cau Bong Border Post; Major Tong Van Canh - Head of Cau Bong Border Control Station; Mr. Thai Ba Hoang, Huynh Nhat Thien (Vinh Hoa ward), Ho Chi Hung (Vinh Hai ward).

Colonel Nguyen Doan Hoa unexpectedly commended Cau Bong Border Post and Major Tong Van Canh.

Previously, at around 7:10 p.m. on April 10, the Cau Bong Border Control Station Observation Team discovered a girl who had just jumped off the bridge at Tran Phu Bridge (Vinh Tho Ward, Nha Trang City). Two people immediately jumped in to save her, but due to the long distance and strong water currents, they also drowned. Major Tong Van Canh and a local quickly jumped into the sea to save the other person. Officers and soldiers of Cau Bong Border Control Station, along with police and military forces of Vinh Tho and Van Thanh wards, and local people promptly responded and brought the girl and the two people safely to shore.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command also unexpectedly awarded Cau Bong Border Post and Major Tong Van Canh. Nam A Bank Nha Trang branch and Song Lo Shipbuilding Company Limited also presented gifts to Cau Bong Border Post and individuals.
